Lots of fun and great coffee at Sip Coffee Festival… @sipcoffeefestival @indycoffeeguide @minorfigures #coffee #cafe #food #foodie #foodstagram We tasted a variety of snacks and drinks at the @storessupply stand. One highlight of the day was tasting the excellent Motta Yellow Honey coffee at the @taithcoffee stand. I tasted some delicious Vietnamese coffee at the @wearenamsong stand. I took the opportunity to have some hands-on barista practice at the @brewbridgeuk stand.

We didn’t expect to SELL OUT of @sipcoffeefestival tickets but you lot surprised us. We’re still checking if we can release a few more Saturday tickets but with some many of you asking we’re releasing some general admission tickets for the Friday evening launch party (5pm - 9pm) After all the exhibitors have set up we’re opening the warehouse for a first look of everyone that’s showcasing to meet, chat and sample whats on offer. We’re also have the final of the @coffeeatmows latte art shootout for you to check out. @elchappo.uk are here serving burritos, tacos, good vibes + tasty sides! @gooeyco will be giving away samples of their amazing donuts and cookies! @fennells.co ice cream will be serving their small batch hand made in Sheffield icecream We have DJs and of course the bar will be open! it’s coffee week in sheffield and if i ever needed an excuse to do a cafe crawl (i really don’t) it’s this πŸ™‚β€β†•οΈ here’s some of the best places taking part in the fringe that have good vegan snacks to pair with your coffee β˜•οΈπŸ₯πŸͺπŸ‚πŸŒŸ if you’re unfamiliar with wtf i’m on about basically there’s an event this weekend (@sipcoffeefestival if you’re interested) and alongside it / in the lead up, 40 different coffee shops are taking part in the fringe! you can pick up a booklet in one of the cafes and you collect stamps with each place you visit. some of them have little deals on, most of them just have special roasts and beans(?) and all this fancy coffee stuff i am not knowledgeable about πŸ€“ but what i AM knowledgeable about is vegan baked goods sooo you’re welcome!! also my guy @morgancrawf did a post yesterday highlighting all the spots that don’t charge extra for oat milk 😌 between us we’re really doing the lords work i think you’ll agree enjoy the sugar & caffeine crash !! πŸ’˜ {ps i am not affiliated with the festival it’s just topical innit. paid for everything myself etc etc}

Oat flat white lovers unite β˜•οΈβœ¨ if ya didn’t know there’s a coffee festival in Sheffield this week and outside of the main event is the fringe!! spotlighting around 40 coffee providers in and around the city. DM me if u want a map/full list, or find it on festival page πŸ—ΊοΈ BUT FOR NOW - here’s a majority of the spots on da fringe but am highlighting those that don’t have extra fees for oat milk! so us vegans and allergy babes and preference princesses alike can enjoy our cuppa joe of choice without the upcharge* *of course, for one reason or anotherπŸ‘€, plant milks can cost a business more than cow milks, and sometimes substantially so, and it’s common business to build costs into prices and IT’S UNDERSTANDABLE when places make the choice to do that, however !!! as a consumer those extra 50ps really add up!! I also would hope if oat milk was free more people would opt that way vs the standard cow milk ☹️ *I will also say that some places charge as little as 20p extra which really is a nice compromise vs the 60p!!! iv seen in some places. AND some places try to fit the balance by offering some plant milks free (eg @birdhouseteacompany offers soy freeπŸ’š) but charging for others. It’s all a balance xx BUT ALAS it’s good to know where you can grab a cup at the same price as the hashtag normal people. Oat milk, imo, is best for coffee. I prefer soy for tea. Heeeeheee. Be sure to grab a vegan snack or 2 while there from time to time also so you are extra supporting businesses, of course! And enjoy your coffee! Dark Matter hits @sipcoffeefestival in Sheffield this weekend. We’ll be brewing up some mental coffees on espresso and filter courtesy of @slayerespresso and @orea.uk on the Friday evening (trade session) and all of Saturday (public session). + a very special bar takeover on Sunday with @coffeeatmows where we’ll have Caramel Curd on house and a stacked line up of guest espressos and filters ranging from Ethiopia, Kenya, Colombia and China. Simply unmissable.

Coming to @sipcoffeefestival warehouse we have the incredible @coffeeatmows As well as bringing the biggest latte art shootout to Sheffield for Sip Fest, Sam and the team will be showcasing what they do best in the warehouse event on Saturday 3rd October! Mows is a city centre β€œcoffee 1st β€œ space with rotating guest coffee from around the world, an ever changing house coffee selection from @darkartscoffee and pastries from the very best in sheff. Everything else comes after coffee. They will be showcasing and retailing some amazing new releases from Dark Arts across espresso and filter alongside some Mow’s Coffee Merch! They’re bringing that signature Mow’s Coffee style to Trafalgar Warehouse, so you can taste what they do even if you can’t make it to the cafe .... This time! Tickets are close to SELL OUT!
