Outta sight, outta mind - Yvette Young

She’s gotten me so far down the alternate tuning rabbit hole the last few years… 😅 (I need more guitars!)

This song was basically my anthem when it came out and still listen to it when I need it most. Yvette is such an incredible human-being and an artist in the truest sense. She showed me you can find and apply inspiration to every aspect of your life, and you don’t have to be limited to where you find inspiration or how you express it. Her art, music, and philosophies are truly special and wonderful.

Anyone else obsessed with this part? Pure magic and the highlight of an already incredible album for me. Was too scared to try learning it when I first heard it (completely unfamiliar tuning and technique to me at the time), but felt like last week was the right time to finally learn it. Was definitely tough but think I’m pretty happy with where I got it (far from perfect).

How did I do? What’s your favourite song off NLND?

Heart, heart it 🫵 ❤️

Here to ruin your favourite K-Pop song’s one day at a time 🙌 I was pretty burnt out this weekend so wanted to try and do something fun today. I love this song and when I first heard it, I knew it would be the perfect fit for a metal song. So why not combine the two things I love!

All a one-take like all my vids/recordings (the video and audio are the same exact session, just changed the effects on the DI after for patch changes). Mixwave Mike Stringer on everything!

We currently have a heat-wave in Ireland and the humidity is killing me and my hair 🫠

Been super busy and had a lot going on lately but finally sat down to get something recorded again.

Was so tricky to learn but glad I stuck with it.

Olly was smoking the good stuff when he wrote this… 🫠🫠🫠 Insanely difficult to play, especially if you’re trying to hit all downstrokes like he does. What an absolute unit! (I know, I know, I will cut the strings later!!)

Julia Wolf and Scro are basically the embodiment of Twilight core (don’t know how else to put it). Loved both their music for years!

I very foolishly deleted when transferring my project file on reaper and this was all I could salvage (sorry for the lack of mixing!!). I spent enough time on it that I didn’t want to scrap it entirely and didn’t have time to redo it from scratch so this will have to do for now 😅
