My dad and I stopped by @coladacubancafe in Pembroke Pines for a little taste of Cuba. 🇨🇺

Colada is more than a restaurant—it’s part Cuban café, part bakery, and full of history. The family-owned concept grew from the longtime Miramar Bakery and brings old-school Cuban flavors together with a fresh, modern twist.

We tried the pan con bistec with their famous seasoned fries, and everything was on point. They also have Cuban coffee, baked-daily pastries, croquetas, empanadas, breakfast, and desserts. Definitely a local spot we highly recommend! 🥪🍟☕️

🍴💪 FORKS & FITNESS: PEMBROKE PINES

Officially my favorite week of Wish You Were Here. I ate, I worked out, I recovered... basically research. 😂

This week’s Pembroke Pines stops:

☕ Colada Cafe for café con leche
🍳 Keik Bakeshop for breakfast, coffee and those cakes
🍸 Unit B at Pembroke Gardens for a night out
💪 GRIT60 for 60 minutes of serious sweat
✨ Health Pod, my Pembroke Pines hidden gem for wellness, recovery and a little recharge

Some were already on my radar. Others surprised me. And that’s exactly why I started Wish You Were Here, to share the places, neighborhoods and local businesses that make South Florida such a great place to live.

📍What’s YOUR Worth the Stop in Pembroke Pines? Restaurant, coffee shop, gym, wellness spot or somewhere completely unexpected. Tell me in the comments because I’m always looking for the next one.

🏡 Next week, we’re talking about what it’s actually like to LIVE in Pembroke Pines.

📍 Welcome to Pembroke Pines, Florida!

This city has more going on than you might realize. North Perry Airport, local coffee shops, the Charles F. Dodge City Center, waterfront neighborhoods, parks, restaurants, shopping, and apparently some very confident squirrels.

But here’s what matters if you’re considering living in Pembroke Pines: the city is large, and each area offers a different lifestyle, home style, and price point.

That’s exactly what I’ll be breaking down this month.

Thinking about moving to Pembroke Pines? Let’s talk. Knowing where to look is kind of my thing.

What should I feature next?

Some of the best moments are the simplest ones. ☕️

A special coffee. A little treat. A quick catch-up with a friend. Ten quiet minutes before the day really begins.

Create the morning rituals that make everyday life feel a little more special — even if it’s only for a few minutes.

You deserve that pause. You’ve earned it.

Explore the Pembroke Pines Coffee Guide and discover a few local spots worth slowing down for.

No gimmicks. Just people making time for themselves before the rest of the day starts.

That’s what this has always been about.

Consistency.
Movement.
Good conversations.
A reason to get out of the house and do something good for yourself alongside other people trying to do the same.

Really solid morning out at @coladacubancafe. Grateful for everybody continuing to show up and make this part of their routine.
