Behind the scenes from our photo/video shoot with Chris Colbert’s 1968 Nova yesterday in Atlanta. If you saw my reel yesterday, you know there’s no V8 under the hood. Chris swapped a Toyota 2JZ-GTE with a big turbocharger, and it looks like the car came that way. He did a great job! It sounds crazy, makes over 800 hp, and it a blast to drive. The video and feature, with pictures by @trahanphoto , will be out on HotRod.com in a few weeks.

And we know there are plenty more F2 6466 setups out there 👀

Genius or sacrilege? Some builds are guaranteed to start an argument.

'68 Nova showed up at HOT ROD Power Fest packing Toyota’s legendary 2JZ under the hood—and it’s definitely not the combination anyone expects to see when that hood comes up.

Before you judge, take a quick look at this tastefully built '68 Nova from HOT ROD Power Fest 2026 #hotrod #hotrodpowerfest #2jz #1968nova
