Summer Ball, it’s been real. It’s crazy to think that this chapter of my life came and went so fast and now it comes to a close.
Thank you to all of my teammates and friends I have made throughout the way and an even bigger thank you to my parents. Without the constant support, love, and sacrifice I would not have been able to be in the position I am in. I love you all and thank you for making my summers some of the best and memorable times of my life. Never thought the day would come when I say goodbye to the sport I played my whole life. I have learned so much playing this game of failure, and it’s sad it’s come to an end. But I’m happy to say, we achieved more than we thought possible. I love you boys so much. Also want to say thank you to my friends, family, and coaches for everything they poured into to make me better. Above all else I thank God, without him I wouldn’t be anywhere near the man I am today.

Game 2 belonged to these two and everybody in that stadium knew it. 😏

Colby Holland took the mound and was SPOTLESS. 4 innings, zero earned runs and 3 strikeouts while he was at it. Then walked off the mound, grabbed a bat and drove in 2 runs. Didn’t matter where you put him. Same result. Same energy. 🔥

Henry Brookshire went 2-for-4, scored THREE times and drove in 2 more. Every time Brookshire got on base Villa Rica found a way to cash him in, and every time they needed a run Henry made sure he was right there waiting to score it. Relentless from first pitch to last. 😮‍💨

Tonight wasn’t just a baseball game. Tonight was a STATEMENT. Villa Rica has won the region and these seven seniors- these SEVEN- are the reason why. 👑

Ben Gardner. Colby Holland. Tate Sauls. Henry Brookshire. Jasper Best. Dylan Bradd. Maddox Keaton.

Say their names. Say them again. Because this group is on the verge of becoming the most decorated senior class in Villa Rica baseball HISTORY. 😤

And while we’re here, let’s talk about Coach Wade Bailey. Three region championships in four years. THREE. And by our math he is sitting just FIVE wins away from 100 career victories. Five. This man didn’t build a program. He built a DYNASTY and these seniors are the crown jewel of everything he’s worked for. 😮‍💨

And Ben Gardner? Just 7 strikeouts away from the Villa Rica SINGLE SEASON STRIKEOUT RECORD. On top of everything else this man has done this season. 7 Ks away from etching his name into the history books forever. 😏

At this point Ben Gardner isn’t just playing baseball, he’s writing chapters. ☠️

This senior class came in together. They grinded together. They won together. And right now they’re standing on top of the region looking down at everybody else like they knew it was going to end this way all along. 😮‍💨
