How do you explain to someone that you don’t just want a room to look a certain way… you want it to feel a certain way?

That’s what we tried to put into words with @dayhousestudio and @citizen.builders and somehow they understood it better than we did. Every texture, every line, every bit of light was chosen for how it would feel to live in

Now every surface, from the walls to the light, feels exactly like the word we couldn’t find.

Sailorue, you have lived more life in the last year than most people do in their lifetime. You have flown to California multiple time, all over Italy and had your first real foods there, and road trips to St. George.

You have been with me every gym workout, every work event, every adventure, every showing and closing.

I’m sure a lot of moms can relate that this first year of motherhood whether it’s your first time or not feels like you are living in a tunnel. I feel like I have been in a level of survival mode to get to the finish line. What is the finish line? There is no real destination for where it ends.

In no way is that in a negative connotation, I grew up around people who talked negatively about motherhood, how hard it was and all the negative parts of marriage and well, life in general.

I am incredibly honored to do life with @colby.jones where we have chosen to look at life in the most beautiful way. What an honor it is to be able to have our babies with us with everything we do and watch them grow up.

There are no bad days, only learning days.

And this is the beginning of the most beautiful life with you sweet girl. ❤️

I hope you look back in your life one day and say, “my mom and dad worked harder than anyone to make sure I had a beautiful life”

Pizza slice of heaven 🍕

It’s been 3 months since we visited Italy and to say I’m having withdrawls is an understatement.

The site seeing and memories were beautiful. But for someone who has always been gluten free/ dairy free to be able to freely eat in other countries to find out it wasn’t the gluten or dairy at all, but the quality of our food here in America, being able to order anything off the menu is off the table here in the U.S.

Which is why @viavenetopizzarium is literally a slice of pizza heaven.

This is pizza al taglio — Roman-style, sold by the cut and priced by weight. The dough ferments for three full days, 85% hydration, a blend of Italian Petra flours. Then it’s baked twice: the first bake cooks the dough through and lets that water evaporate into an airy, open crumb. The second bake, now with toppings, melts everything together and crisps the bottom. A quick reheat before it hits your hands brings the crunch back to life.

You point at what you want. They cut it with scissors — the way it’s done in Rome — sized to how hungry you are. Soft center, shattering crust, ingredients imported and treated like they matter.

For one bite I was back in Italy.

If you’re in Salt Lake City, this is a must. Not a “someday” — a this week.
