We called them “Cool Guy Reps.” 😂

At the end of BP in college, after we got our fundamental defensive work in, we’d spend a few minutes trying the plays that weren’t so routine.

Sliding backhands. Diving forehands. Tough angles. Plays where you just had to go be an athlete.

Were we going to make these plays every game? No.

But that was the point.

You might only get one opportunity to make a play like this every once in a while — but when that opportunity comes, it helps if your body has been there before.

These reps challenge your athleticism, coordination, body control and confidence while adding another skill to your bag.

Fundamentals always come first.

But baseball isn’t always fundamental.

Sometimes you have to go make a play.

So after the work is done…

get some Cool Guy Reps in. 😎⚾️
