(I will remind you at the top of the Mt. Greylock hillclimb😉 - Ben T.)
---
❄ Why join us? - These winter development projects harbor the competitive aspirations of developing junior and senior skiers who train year-round towards them. Coaches who participate get a chance to serve inspiring skiers, and likewise, bring their own diverse experiences in our sport to inspire skiers. In short, these projects are a communal effort to build our community!

There’s so much to say and too many pictures for this app so wrote a little substack on finishing up my time as a pro skier and ending my Bozeman era. Give it a read if you want. Link in bio ;)

MULE MOMENT 🔵⚪️ - At the 2026 Winter Olympic Games in Milano Cortina, Italy, two Mules represented their home nations on the world’s greatest stage:

🇦🇺 Maddie Hooker ‘27 skied for Australia in four events, helping set a national milestone as part of Australia’s first-ever Olympic women’s cross-country relay team, which took 14th overall.

🇺🇸 Jack Young ‘25 wore the red, white, and blue for Team USA, joining Marc Gilbertson ‘91 in an elite club of Colby Nordic alumni to reach the Olympic stage representing the USA following a standout rise on the World Cup circuit.

A massive accomplishment for Maddie, Jack, and the Colby Nordic program!

SUMMER SPOTLIGHT ☀️ featuring rising senior Ben Lewis of @colbynordic

This summer, Ben has been spending a lot of his time with Snø Racing in the Minneapolis area training with a great group and staying focused on skiing while also being back home for the summer.

On top of skiing, spending time with family and friends and his internship at Thrivent Financial, Ben has been spending his Saturday nights racing his Midwest Modified dirt track car at Ogilvie Raceway. He has been racing for about five years now and it has become a huge part of Ben’s summers.

“It has been a really cool summer getting to train with Snø Racing and then race on Saturday nights,” said Lewis. “Skiing and racing are obviously very different but both take a lot of preparation and focus.”

As things have mellowed from last winter’s hustle, and New England’s started to bloom once again, the flicker of something new is on the horizon again. ❄ Eastern Cup #1: Cheri Walsh Memorial at Holderness School – Holderness, NH
