Some people peak in high school. We peaked on Cape Cod with SPF 50 (Jill still used 30 and tanning cream 😂) cocktails, and absolutely zero responsibilities. Win, win! It was epic! Fireworks from every direction. 10 out of 10.

What a month October was…

End of September, I took my sweet Bindi in for bloodwork when her appetite continued to wane. It revealed an iron deficiency and slight anemia. A bunch of tests and an ultrasound later, we learned that Bindi had a gastric mass. Endoscopy and biopsy revealed that the tumor did not appear to be malignant and was in a decent location for surgical removal.

Bindi went in for a partial gastrectomy on October 30, and we are thrilled to report that nasty mass has been successfully removed, and none of her actual stomach wall ended up needing to be resected. She is now recovering at home after a couple days at @bluepearlcharlestown

We are so incredibly grateful to Bindi’s internal medicine team and surgical team at Blue Pearl, our fantastic primary vets at @southbayvet587 and all involved with helping us through this stressful month. A couple weeks of R&R, and we are super hopeful this will all be in the rear view mirror.

Bindi is regaining her appetite and enjoying slow walkies in her stroller while she recovers. 🩷
