What do you get when you throw 8 Canadians into an international Kayak Fishing Tournament?

Non stop laughs, endless fun, and the life of the party!

Because life is supposed to be a good time, and at the end of the day, it's just fishing!

The stakes were high, the pressure was on, and battle lines were drawn.

But at the end of the day RESPECT ruled everything else.

We're all brothers and sisters, carving out our place in the industry, trying to grow our sport by any means necessary. Wherever you're from, whatever your gender, whatever age you are, when you strap yourself onto a giant piece of Tupperware and head out to slay some giants, you're automatically family!

A beautiful show of sportsmanship and respect between @cold.water.angling and @yakfishfield

Once again proving that this is the greatest sport on earth. Try and change our minds!

@samstackleshop Talk, Fishing Stories & Gear Testing

There’s a big European following on Mitchell reels, eh?

This week, @leemontagu brought in a couple of his old favourites—a Mitchell 430 and a Mitchell 300.

One way to spot some of the older models is the “Made in France” stamp. Mitchell built its reputation making reels in France before production eventually moved overseas.

The best part? These aren’t shelf queens. Monty still fishes both of them regularly and continues to catch trout and salmon on these classic reels.

Anyone else still fishing a vintage Mitchell? @thefishingwithdadshow will be testing a few relics out for Season 1.

Monty, you need to start videoing or taking pictures of these “25 pound spring salmon” you speak of ;)

Does anyone else call out #NHL hockey players, past and present, instead of depths or actual numbers on the @scottyproducts downriggers?

Coho salmon are often hanging in that 1–100 foot range, so instead of saying “87 feet,” it’s…

Drop a hockey player and number below. 👇🎣🏒
