100 lbs of fresh sugar pie pumpkins from @michellsfarm got cut, seeded, roasted and puréed 😅, then spread thin and dehydrated, and blended with our handmade custard base and juuuuust enough of those appropriate spices. Fresh local roasted pumpkin ice cream sandwiches with our barely-baked snickerdoodle cookies are back in stock now at @cancanteen and this eve at Cold Comfort in @cookstreetvillage !

Pumpkin ice cream pies and Nicecream pies are ready at both @cancanteen and Cold Comfort on Cook!

Today is the last day you can walk inside our little shop on North Park street. It’s Truth & Reconciliation Day.

We are open special hours 11am - 9pm

A reminder - 50% of proceeds from Nicecream scoop sales today will go directly into our New Pathways Indigenous Grad Bursary fund.

I first opened the door to this shop in December 2013 before I had any employees. This space has been a consistent beacon of belonging and connection - a safe space full of fun and love, where good food and good memories have been made and enjoyed by wonderful local people from the neighbourhood - and a destination for ice cream lovers from around the world.

We will continue to provide our special services 💕at our new ice cream headquarters on Rock Bay Ave. (Jan 2026) as well as at our Cook St. Village location. We will be popping up here and there when the weather warms up again - watch out!

Our walk-up take out window in the parking lot @cancanteen will be open 12-7 throughout October until our big move, so don’t be a stranger and come grab some Sammies etc. direct from the source!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your continued support, for appreciating what we do, and for sharing the love. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

10 days left of North Park retail shop and being open til 9PM Tuesday-Saturday! Come party with us ❤️

Yes it’s getting darker earlier, and a little cooler in the eves, so pretend it’s an old fashioned drive-in theatre and eat your ice cream in the car with the music cranked, or bundle up in a blankie and bask in the beauty of the paved paradise (parking lot)

Who remembers fondly the pandemic- era @cancanteen takeout window?! Comment if you see yourself in this black n white photo before the Can Canteen even had a sign! I think this lineup was for the inimitable @dumplingdrop when Tarn was just getting going with pop ups ❤️

OCTOBER we will be at your service at the window for take out 12-7 PM (no scoops - you have to go to COOK for scoops starting Oct. 1st) See you soon!
