DAY 600 OF COLD PLUNGING FOR MENTAL HEALTH 🧊❤️‍🩹

600 days. Another milestone. Another 100 days down. But the reality is, it’s just another day, and I’m beyond thankful we’ve been able to stay another. ❤️‍🩹

Today, on Thanksgiving, I’m taking a moment to reflect on just how much I have to be grateful for.

I’m thankful for every single one of you who has supported me, encouraged me, and helped me keep showing up. I wouldn’t be here doing what I do without you.

I’m beyond blessed with my family’s love, grateful for the roof over our heads, and thankful for all the people and pets under that roof who make our house a home. Life isn’t perfect, and we’ve had our fair share of struggles, but there is still so much good to be found when we take a moment to look for it.

There’s no denying there have been SO many days I thought I would quit. Days I didn’t know how we’d make it through another day, let alone another 100. Days when showing up felt impossible.

But here we are. 600 days later. Still showing up. Still learning. Still growing. Still choosing to stay another.

And if you’re reading this today, I’m thankful you’re here, too.

I don’t know what you’re carrying right now. I don’t know what battles you’re fighting behind closed doors or how hard you’ve had to fight just to make it to today. But I hope you know you don’t have to have everything figured out to keep going. You don’t have to be perfect. You don’t have to have it all together.

Sometimes, making it to another day is an accomplishment worth celebrating all on its own.

So, on this Thanksgiving, here’s your reminder:

YOU CAN DO HARD THINGS.
YOU’RE NOT ALONE.
YOU’RE ENOUGH.
YOU’RE LOVED.
YOU MATTER.

And no matter what life throws your way, I hope you keep giving yourself the chance to see what tomorrow brings.

One day at a time. One step at a time. One more day.

shout-out to @Sisuwellnessco for taking a chance on me and supporting this journey.

Tagged some of my icy friends that have kept me going along the way, so many more thank you for support 💙

Day 74 - Expectations
•
Often, our expectations of ourselves, others, and situations are out of sync with reality.
•
“Do I fit the mold that you’ve made up in your head? Am I living up to expectations?”
•
Seek reality, set standards for yourself and others which will allow you to see things for how they really are.

Also, @matthewastevens @coldplungecam @coldplungepalmer @icebath_brandon @coldplungingdad @countrymusing @weareicebuddies I don’t know how you all plunge consistently in less than 40°F water. That’s a different kind of cold for me…🥶🥶🥶

Men, it’s okay to have days where you don’t feel strong, days when things feel heavier than usual.

Taking time to check in with yourself, letting yourself feel, and reaching out when you need someone to talk to are all signs of strength—not weakness. Remember, taking care of your mental health is just as important as physical health. Small steps, like connecting with friends, finding a moment to breathe, or doing something you enjoy, make a big difference.

You’re not alone, and it’s always okay to ask for support.

Stay cold friends, cold strong.
