Another race in the books, another @fringeracing party lap following @jjbalch and @erikwalker08 no wins unless inhaling dust was the way to win then I got the gold. Mellow yet fun run and @jessechilders got the snap of me on the one steep section on Irish Death, so for me that is better than a podium. @evilbicycles crushed the fajita game once again! More fun next week for sure!

I came across a Māori greeting the other day on Instagram and it’s just been stuck in my head: “Ko wai tō awa?” meaning “Who is your river?”

I’ve been lucky enough to experience some incredible rivers over the years, and it’s hard to pick just one that I belong to, one that has the most of me, an intrinsic part of who I am. But my mind always drifts back to my roots in western Washington, more specifically the Sauk (last image). It’s one of the places that taught me how to love big rivers and wild fish, a place where I cut my teeth as a boater and an angler. Though I’ve moved away in recent years, there are a lot of days on that river that I wish I could play on repeat.

Anyways, here are some of my favorite rivers. Which river do you belong to?
