Still processing an unbelievable week for the @arcteryxacademy… A massive thank you to everyone that showed up, supported, and helped along the way.

This was the soft opening of our new space, @winddriftstudios, described by my friend @lyonsbrown3 as a mighty Rubik’s Cube of a space that can be twisted and contorted into a gallery, a painter’s studio, a photography studio, a retail space, and an event space…which is intended to be all of those things thanks to the handy work of @_scottysmith__ and crew.

Updates to follow as @kimmyfasani, @n8greenberg, and I work through the learnings over the coming month(s)…

It was such an amazing experience to have athletes here sharing their knowledge and experience through clinics and films, with a live score from the @coffisbrothers - honoring the timeless tunes of the @gratefuldead, an endless supply of top shelf beverages from @lagrimastequila and @highnwicked, demos from @atomic, a historic @mammothmountain storm, and the entire @arcteryx team on the ground making it all operate like a Swiss clock.

A sincere thank you to this community for welcoming these brands and friends of mine, from near and far, to our humble home.

Fingers crossed for a miracle March. Let’s keep the good times rollin…

WORLD CHAMPION!!

This year was anything but smooth. I didn’t race particularly well all year. Honestly, I hadn’t raced well for the last two years. But training really clicked this year with some new ideas. I knew at some point all this hard work would show up. My job was to keep showing up everyday, regardless of how things were going. This process over the past two years has allowed my faith to grow in the man upstairs. My faith is the backbone of who I am as a person, and that is something I’m really proud of.

I want to give a shout out to some very special people. First and most importantly, my wife. Cherie has had my back ever since we started dating and is big reason for my success on and off the track. She has taught me I am more than an athlete, which has allowed me to enjoy all aspects of my life. Success like this is so much sweeter because I’m not just a world champion, and it is amazing to share this win as a team!

To my family, I’m honestly lost for words. The support you have showed me over my career I could never repay you for, but I can say those phone calls post race are moments I will never forget.

A huge thank you to my performance team, especially the two at the top, Coach Heather and my uncle Trevor, who has kept me healthy my entire career. They both helped create a program that worked best for me and being injury free all season set up perfectly to race well when it mattered. I’d even go so far to say that my execution at Worlds might have been the best of my career. Trevor and his son Luke even came to our pre-camp in Dubai to make sure I was all ready to go for Worlds.

The work went beyond the two that I mentioned. India made for a challenging world championships to prepare for and my team absolutely nailed it- Jessalyn O’Donnell, Ollie Armstrong, John Coleman, Penny Werthner, Geoff Harris, and Sandeep Nandhra. There are many others to thank, but I wanted to personally mentioned these specific individuals.

He loved this event and being able to use this platform share his love and knowledge of the mountains with others.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this moment of celebration special. I just know he was bashfully smiling down, witnessing us all just gush about him. 🦝 🥷 💜

One week in Oregon 🇺🇸 with the ARC‘TERYX Run Team🔥🔥🔥 | What a fun and inspiring week we had! Apart from crushing the trails and the local @strava staircase segment, it was so nice to see old friends and to meet new teammates. Retrouvailles avec les copains d’ @arcteryx 🤍
Je suis heureux de retrouver la team aux 🇺🇸, Oregon. Alors que je me remets encore doucement du voyage et de la course du week-end dernier à Annecy pour obtenir ma qualification pour les championnats de France juillet prochain, certains d’entre nous sont montés sur les hauteurs de Hood River. Magnifique. Nous avons même pu faire une cryo dans une cascade glaciale féerique !
Objectif de la semaine: vivre ce moment tellement spécial en équipe, brainstormer sur les prochains produits, quelques séances de psycho et physio, différentes formations dont une aux médias et beaucoup de récupération pour une fois ☀️

I am glad to join my 🏃🏽‍➡️🏃🏼‍♀️‍➡️team mates in Oregon 🇺🇸 .
While I am still recovering from the travel and last weekend race at @trailannecy to get my qualification for the French championship, it felt good to go explore Hood River area. Very beautifull place. We even ideally started the healing process in a fairy freezing cold waterfall! Objective: live that special moment as a team, brainstorm about products, psycho & physio sessions, media training and lots of recovery for once ☀️
