Throughout my career, I’ve admired so many dynamic women. The ones who came before me and opened doors. The ones who showed me what was possible.

So to be named one of DC Modern Luxury’s Dynamic Women of 2026 means more than I can say. Thank you for this honor. And congratulations to the incredible women who shared these pages with me this year.

In the feature, I talk about building Kingsley Model + Talent Management and Style by Kingsley, how my Nigerian and Igbo roots and our blended Pakistani-Nigerian household shape the way I style and lead, becoming a mum to twins at 50, and my mum, who is still my greatest inspiration. Link in bio!

Of all the years to receive this, it’s the one where I get to be a mum. That makes it even sweeter. Grateful to be stepping into this era as a mother, a boss, and a dynamic woman. 🤎

POV: You got to spend your afternoon being a hair model for @thestudyofcurls using @innersenseorganicbeauty products! 🧖🏾‍♀️

This was probably the best shampoo of my LIFE — s/o to the amazing stylists at @colestevenssalon in D.C.

I also decided to step out of my tiny box and ask for more volume instead of curl definition, and I LOVED the results.

I’m fascinated by the method of using the foam as a base and then laying gel ontop to lock in the definition. For my wash-n-go’s, my process is flipped, but I mightttt have to give this a try at home. 👀👀

Mya Hobbs was selected as a Top 10 New Talent Finalist in Intercoiffure America Canada’s 2026 Nouveau Contest, and I got to build the beauty look that lives alongside that hair artistry. Sculpted braids, gold, and a soft flush of pink that lets the craft breathe.

This year’s Nouveau Contest celebrates the artistry of texture in all its forms—from curls and coils to braids, updos, color, shape and finish. These talented artists brought their creative visions to life through hair, makeup, fashion and imagery, and we’re thrilled to recognize them as this year’s finalists.

New Talent finalists will take their creativity from photo to stage, recreating their submissions live at the Intercoiffure America Canada Fall Atelier: Tapestry of Beauty, October 3–5, 2026, in New York City.

🏆The winners will be announced at the show and we can’t wait to see who takes home the honor!
