Honestly, this year has been one full of ups and downs. I really don't care who knows my life story. I have had friendships made and some lost. I have been busy beyond measure with school, volleyball, and work. I have had 2 teams for volleyball this year. I was a head guard this summer. I volunteered at the HFB as a student hero. I started the Mu Alpha Theta Math NHS at SJ23. I have found my addiction to gambling (pokemon cards). I hate corn and fish, and mac and cheese is my favorite food. I got okay grades to start junior year and okay grades to end sophomore year. I am hoping, unlikely, but hoping for my GPA to improve a ton. I want to spend more time on self care, like skincare and stuff like hair masks, and less time wasted on scrolling. I want to build more friendships- ones that won't fall apart when I feel replaced, ones that have real depth and meaning, ones that I can be my honest self in. I got tons of LEGO stuff and I am super excited to build those. I have my hopes set high for college... though I know most of my top schools are very hard to get into. I have come to realize the main theme of my year: I make myself the problem a lot. When I take things personally, things that are done out of ignorance, arrogance, or entitlement, I find myself taking it as more than what it is. Next year, I will be stronger and less sensitive to things that shouldn't affect me so much. Also, I am trying the mullet out. The bleach FRIED my hair, so this year will be one of better hair maintenance. What else? Heading out of this year, I am leaving behind all of the fear about loss and anger towards those who have hurt me. Also, I would LOVE to get recruited!! (I need to actually start with that... BADLY). Anyways, I am thankful for continued health, new friendships, lessening anxiety towards change, my parents continued support, and most importantly, I am thankful for my faith's continued growth. For so many years I was a drone, going through the actions, singing the songs, saying the words. The Kairos retreat I went on helped me to feel God in so many new ways I hadn't before. Shout out Colette, Alex, Julie, and Dr. T!!

Here's to a new year of prosperity and growth!!
