2026 #BrewersFarm Top 100 Prospects ⚾️ #65 ⚾️ RHP Cole Phillips - 2025 Rank: N/A Highest Rank: #65- 2026 - Phillips was originally drafted by the Atlanta Braves in the 2nd round of the 2022 Draft out of Boerne High School (Boerne, TX). He is a 6’3” 200 lb. right-handed pitcher that was possibly the most difficult prospect to rank this year simply because he has the talent to be a top-5 pitching prospect in the organization, but his health has not allowed him to take the mound in a game as a professional to this point. It appeared as though Phillips was headed for a first round selection before Tommy John surgery ended his senior season early. He had shown an elite fastball (reportedly up to 99 mph at one point) as well as an above average slider and solid changeup to go along with great control. The right-hander was traded by the Braves alongside RHP Jackson Kowar to the Seattle Mariners in exchange for LHP Marco Gonzales, 1B Evan White, and CF Jarred Kelenic on December 3, 2023. Originally slated for a return to the mound in late ‘23 or early ‘24, Phillips required his second Tommy John surgery prior to the 2024 season. While rehabbing from his latest TJ, he suffered a flexor tendon injury and underwent the knife, once again, in mid-2025. Phillips was selected by the #Brewers in the MiLB phase of the 2025 Rule 5 Draft on December 10, 2025. He has resumed light throwing and the expectation is for him to begin throwing off of a mound in April with a return to game action in June or July. The soon-to-be 23-year-old will be making his professional debut when he makes his first appearance, likely with the Rk ACL Brewers before moving up to A Wilson or A+ Wisconsin in 2026. ETA 2028

12/10/25- The #Brewers have selected RHP Cole Phillips from the Seattle Mariners in the MiLB phase of the 2025 Rule 5 Draft. - - Phillips was originally drafted by the Atlanta Braves in the 2nd round of the 2022 Draft out of Boerne High School (Boerne, TX). He is a 6’3” 200 lb. right-handed pitcher that has long been considered one of the most promising arms in all of the minor leagues, but has simply been unable to stay healthy to this point. After undergoing Tommy John surgery, Phillips was traded by the Braves with RHP Jackson Kowar to the Seattle Mariners in exchange for LHP Marco Gonzales, 1B Evan White, and CF Jarred Kelenic on December 3, 2023. Unfortunately, a second Tommy John surgery kept him out for the entire 2024 campaign and a setback in his rehab wiped out his ‘25 season as well. That means that, since being drafted in 2022, Phillips has still yet to make his professional debut, but that doesn’t deter teams from dreaming on his upper-90’s fastball and tremendous potential. The 22-year-old now joins the #Brewers farm system where he will look to finally return to game action and make his pro debut in 2026 with A Wilson. - - Congratulations on this exciting new opportunity and welcome to the #Brewers and #BrewersFarm communities, Cole!

100. Cole Phillips RHP SEA 2022 draftee with electric stuff headlined by a plus fastball, who has been nagged by injuries as he’s yet to pitch professionally. 99. Robert Gasser LHP MIL Highly deceptive lefty almost certain to begin the season in Milwaukee’s rotation, featuring an impressive sweeper/slutter combo and advanced command. 98. Samuel Zavala OF SD Passive approach, abnormal for a hitter so young. Struggled in his A+ stint but displayed phenomenal walk numbers in A ball. Doesn’t swing a ton, and when he does there’s quite a bit of swing and miss, but with his athleticism and projectability there’s a lot to like here. 97. Jud Fabian OF BAL Fabian’s hit tool is not good, to put it bluntly. What is good, however, is his loft centric approach which allows for plus in game power, his extremely high walk rate, his above average baserunning, and the fact that he plays a premium defensive position. He has the makings of a 30-30 CF at the major league level. 96. Andy Pages OF LAD Really good approach at the plate, walks a ton, hits the ball hard, and makes contact at a relatively good rate. He chases quite a bit, mainly against RHP, but the all around offensive skillset is impressive. 95. Felnin Celesten SS SEA Extremely young and a very volatile profile, and I personally cannot access his data so everything here is a regurgitation of public reports, but a switch hitting shortstop with defense likely good enough to stick at short and impressive power is an enticing prospect. 94. Chase Petty RHP CIN If you know me you know how wary I am when it comes to sinker primary pitchers, especially prospects. Petty, however, is an exception. His sinker is one of the best in the minors, and paired with the upper 80s slutter and his above average mid 80s changeup, his polished repertoire is no doubt rotational caliber long term. 93. Diego Cartaya C LAD 2023 was an undeniable struggle from the young catcher, but the power is still there and with a near double plus arm he should stick behind the plate with the introduction of ABS. Very inconsistent but the framework for a viable catcher is there.
