Some commissions feel as though they were waiting for the house.

Designed for a deeply stylish Laurel Canyon residence, these clerestory windows were composed to feel native to the architecture rather than newly introduced. The forms pull from the geometry of the home and the unmistakable atmosphere of the canyon, with broad sunlike curves moving through a disciplined field of rectangles.

Earthy greens, warm ambers, pale yellow, and clear glass echo the room’s rich wood, olive upholstery, and layered collection of art and objects. Smooth and heavily textured surfaces shift between transparency and diffusion, giving the composition depth and movement as the light changes throughout the day.

The deep olive green came from a sheet of glass that is no longer in production, bringing a small piece of material history into a home already filled with its own stories.

This palette spoke to me immediately. As the panels came together in the studio, I found myself falling more and more in love with them. They were genuinely difficult to part with, but seeing them become part of this extraordinary home, and knowing how deeply my clients love them, made the goodbye much easier.

This post is nothing but LOVE. It’s a big end of an era for me. 14 years at SoulCycle! (By far the longest job I’ve ever had!) Sure I probably stayed way too long… my SoulCycle career was kind of like the show LOST. There were the beginning seasons which were so fire🔥 and incredible. Then it got a bit crazy, and should have ended earlier. 🤣

I was laid off (along with SO many other talented instructors and employees) and I even hesitated to post anything. But SoulCycle has been a part of about 1/3 of my life, so I’d love to share a few of my top core memories.

1) Britney Spears took my class. (It was right when ‘Work Bitch’ came out and she was so famous they hid her in the back room while I was getting ready for class. It was a Saturday 12:15 class in Santa Monica and @courtneytunney was front row for it!
2) Diane Keaton took my class in a FULL pant suit. With her daughters. She was so kind - and I was blown away that she rode IN A PANT SUIT!
3) I got to be on a billboard in Time Square! Epic!! Thanks @bilt who sponsored that as well!
4) Jessie J - sang ‘Bang Bang’ live in my class! Swipe left to see the behind the scenes video @thelizap took in the back room when she was singing!
5) Getting promoted & also featured on KCAL news channel 9 - thank you Lisa Sigell.
6) I started my SoulCycle career in 2013 with crippling debt. I owed $27k (17k to the IRS and 10k in credit card debt) and with the help of all my work at SoulCycle - I was debt free by 2017. That was one of my proudest moments saying that in class.
7) Most important of all - all of my close friends that I’ve met through my 14 years at SoulCycle. Almost ALL of my bridesmaids I met from my classes, and so many amazing friends. It’s a HUGE chapter in my life, and it’s been closing and tapering off for the last few years. I believe everything happens for a reason - and SoulCycle did me a favor by laying me off - as I would have never left on my own.

Now there is more space in my life for what’s next - and I want to thank EVERYONE who has ever taken my class, and those I’ve worked with along the way. ❤️

Thank you @mcmatto for being mine and so eager to share how much passion you put into this event. Thank you to all of my other friends who kept me company in Baub’s Den™, took the most care of my squad, danced with me under the stars and held me together when @madonna arrived. I don’t take any of this happiness for granted. 🌞💫🌈🎡🎶

@sabrinacarpenter and @madonna took us there. Thank you to my husband and every beautiful friend it took to get me there. This was a core memory moment I will cherish forever.

It takes a lot to get me to drive to Inglewood on a Sunday night, but getting to wear my pajamas was all the incentive I needed. If only I had known I’d be on the red carpet 🤦🏼‍♂️

Mom’s Easter birthday was extra special this year - after several days of adventuring around LA, she rang in 77 on the most fitting of places: a dance floor surrounded by friends and drag queens belting out the hits as midnight struck! Thankful for Mom and all the fun we have… just hoping she comes out of that shell one year. Maybe 78?
