OKAY WOW i have a lot to say. firstly, the ed show was absolutely incredible but i'll make a separate post for that because so much happened. each slide will have a different caption.

unexpected colin meeting?!?! we were waiting by the stage door for ed to come out and i heard someone say "oh my god that's colin" and i turned around and he was just standing there chatting to his friends! we all went over, i just said "hi colin, i met you back in 2024" and he was just like "right! :)" i don't know if he remembered me or not because i look different now (my style changed completely since then). i said "sorry i don't have anything for you to sign but please could i have a photo?" and he was like "that's okay and of course!" i said "thank you so much i love you" and he said "you're so welcome" he was only there for a couple of minutes but he met everyone that wanted to meet him. it was so lovely to meet you again colin and so unexpected!!! very sweet of him to go out and support his friend ❤️ i felt a bit bad meeting colin whilst wearing the "i ❤️ ed o'brien" shirt but i had NO CLUE he'd be there hahah!

a little while later ed came out! his security said he didn't have time to do individual selfies but we were allowed to take pictures and get something signed! i'm going to struggle to remember everything he said. he called me darling... which immediately made me blank out everything else that was said 😭 thanks ed! but no hahah i was very happy about that ❤️ i said "hi ed, you were amazing" and he said thank you! i said "i met you in may, you may remember my shirt? i asked the tea question" (lol) and he was like "oh yeah, the shirt, that's great!" so i'm assuming he remembered me? hopefully... 🥹 i gave him one of the bracelets i made. i said "i was giving these to my friends earlier and i wanted to give you one" he may have miss heard me because he signed the tag and tried to give it back and i was like "oh no i wanted you to keep it!" and i'm pretty sure that's when he said "oh thank you darling" and after that i don't remember anything because i was just like... wow. other than me saying "you already signed my blue morpho cd so please could you sign my earth cd

🐇🕳️🎧 THE RADIOHEAD REDISCOVERY no.3 — HAIL TO THE THIEF

Well, Radiohead has done it to me again...

My first impressions of Hail to the Thief weren't great. Overlong, inconsistent and struggling to hold my attention.

Then I sat down with headphones and listened properly.

What a difference.

The guitars and Phil Selway's drumming are fantastic, but the real revelation has been Colin Greenwood's bass. I genuinely hadn't appreciated just how integral he is to Radiohead's sound. Hearing those basslines so clearly hits differently.

Another listen in the car today confirmed it. I really like this album.

2+2=5, Sit Down. Stand Up, Where I End and You Begin and There, There are brilliant. A few tracks still don't land, and the album could probably be tighter, but there's so much to enjoy.

Three albums into this rediscovery and I'm learning not to trust my first impressions!

Anyone else think Colin Greenwood deserves more recognition? What's your favourite Radiohead bassline?
