this is a post i've waited a long time to make, and now feels like the right time to make it.

its almost been a month since we got to take the stage at crystal ballroom for @niceafest, and i am beyond grateful we got to be a part of this amazing lineup. seeing all of my friends and the incredible community members i've met through doing sound in boston was such a treat, and so thankful to everybody who stopped in during our set.

@someburgers and @get2thegigbos, thank you for being my family in boston and giving me the opportunity to be a part of what you do.

@max_kozol_bass, @colinmcedrums, and @chrisgalvao1, thank you for taking these songs i've recorded alone and making them so far beyond what i could've ever conceived them to be. it's amazing to be able to play music with your friends.

and to all the bands that played dragons lair (and sunday morning at the rockwell lol), thank you for entrusting me to run your sound and for bringing amazing fucking music.

to be able to be a part of this community is such a privilege, and i'm so excited to show y'all what is coming next. stay tuned <3

The Liquor and Cigs tour has concluded. Rock and Roll officially preserved! Now to the sappy stuff…

It takes a certain group of maniacs to step in literal dog crap, watch kids fight until they knocked a tooth out, and forget our name on the sign outside at the fist stop and not turn around right back home. A broken AC30, a broken amp modular, many broken strings, bands dropping off last minute (some still playing despite losing a member), a broken toll gate, and a literal ER visit were taken in stride by the nicoteens and tequila midnight. It would be so easy to let these circumstances cloud the privilege of playing music to people, but in the true DIY spirit we truly bonded with Nicoteens over every misfortune. I’m glad to call these people my legitimate friends and I implore you to give them a listen if you haven’t already.

For every misfortune, however, there were moments of joy. Whether it was Joel Thanks! I Hate It surprising us from across the country, terrorizing the city of Toledo til 3 pm, a night with a “free” red roof inn jacuzzi, or the kind words from people at the shows this was easily the greatest week of my life.

To Ethie, thanks for putting this on in such short notice. To Alex, thank you for going on this crazy ride with us. To the bands who played with us, thank you for figuratively and in some cases literally letting us into your homes and for letting us borrow an unreasonable amount of your gear!
To every single one of you who showed up and supported us, thank you so much for reminding me why I do this.

No one has to care about your band. The moment you lose sight of that and take for granted the kind words of fans or every person who enters the door is the moment you stop doing this for the right reasons. I can say for certain this crew was doing it for the right reasons.

TOUR IS OVER 🫩😭 now it’s time to be sappy 🖤 (nice post to come)

This was such a huge experience for us. This band started in a Boston bedroom 4 years ago, to get to go on the road and meet so many wonderful people is such a fucking privilege. The love we experienced from this community was so unbelievable and we seriously cannot thank yall enough.

To @tequila.mockingbird.band - rock will persevere. yall were the absolute best possible touring mates we could have asked for. Thank you and I can’t wait for our paths to cross again 🖤

To @ethiepics - thank you for grinding away for us to make this happen. you made dreams come true and for that we cannot thank you enough 🖤

To everyone who came out to a show - THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS!! Your support means genuinely everything to us and to begin to thank everyone we met as much as they deserve would break Instagram.
