Carrying our gear through dense forests and swamps instead of doing the thing we came to do is becoming something of a Colin and Ian tradition.

Bog maxxing aside, the winds are an insane mountain range and one I really hope to get back to soon. Being up there in bad weather made for an ethereal feel to the whole trip.

Yesterday, I was able to attend the wedding reception of @audreyapeacock, one of my favorite students. Audrey was in Honors Art, APArt History and took AP Art twice. We also went to Europe together on a student tour. She is now in her final year at UVU studying art and art history and looked so beautiful marrying the love of her life, Devin. We both teared up when we saw each other yesterday. It was a moment of joy. I have had the pleasure of teaching all four of the Peacock kids: Audrey, Colin, Ainsleigh, and I am currently teaching Helena. I love this family so much. This was one of those moments that make me so grateful to be a teacher and have the opportunity to meet incredible kids and families.

Last week, I had the pleasure of summiting and skiing down Tahoma/Mt Rainier with @colinmpeacock and @ian_of_washington . At 14,411 feet and over 9k of vert climbed this was easily the most challenging objective I’ve ever accomplished, and we took the easy route (disappointment cleaver). I still can’t believe uncle Mark did it twice. So grateful that weather and conditions lined up perfectly for our attempt, and for some awesome ski buddies who let me tag along on this grand adventure.
