Cause I swear I'd burn this city down to show you the light 🔥

I set out to get a photo of the Seattle, WA skyline and in the process found a vibrant scene at Gas Works Park! A group of fire performers including a talented @colinthrows_ were juggling burning pins and spinning torches!

A lot of fun to watch, more fun for me to photograph! What do you think of the results??

I was really happy with the skyline photos I got, but I imagine millions have been taken from that exact location. Thanks for making these ones so unique!

Stoked to announce our amazing workshops happening this Friday! Now is your chance to move and learn and play 🙃 - please be respectful and remember that everyone is a volunteer and donations for the instructors are highly appreciated and encouraged 🙏❤️

Intro to Juggling: Get lost in the toss - This workshop is an introduction to three ball juggling. Here, you will learn all the vital skills of juggling: throwing, catching, and most importantly of all, dropping. No prior juggling experience is required, and if you don’t have juggling balls they will be provided!

Intro to acro workshop - Lift Your Friends. Join us to learn a dance lift sequence and have ways to level it up or down as needed. No partner necessary and we will teach spotting to keep everyone safe. Come play with us!

Intro to Flow: Manipulate Props, Not People - Learn how to use poi as an extension of your body to find your flow and get into the flowstate. We’ll cover the mechanics of flow arts with specifics like stalls, tosses, and breaking the grid. Movement meditation with prop dance is incredibly medicinal for your mind, body, and spirit. Follow me into the rabbit hole of flow arts theory with beginner poi tech in this workshop!

Introduction to Aerial Silks - Ever wanted to try silks? Come jam with us! We’ll cover some of the fundamentals - climbing, descending, footlocks, inverting in a knot - and if time allows, some nice poses! Open to all levels of experience, including none :) #acro #levityarts #seattleevents #flow #poi #juggling #dancelifts #circus #play #workshop

These days, I’ve been working on improving my juggling skills. A year ago, even juggling 3 hulas felt impossible. 😅I hope to learn how to have more control and not walk around too much while juggling 😂.
.
Thanks always for the inspo @annahooptanz @hothoopdancemama @colinthrows_ .

2 Gas Works burns in a week after not really burning that much this year seems like a good score 💚🫰🏼
Still working on ma feets & also on trying to incorporate more tricks into my 🔥 play.
I have tried a lot of different 🔥🐉 recently. This long boi belongs to April & was quite pleasant to be using it. April knows what's good, TY for letting me burn it. 💚

PS wasn't aware that Sergio Mendes made a version of this song 💚 up until yesterday (got one of his records second hand) & here we are now : fusion of the week <chefs kiss> ☺️
In the background my flowmie Colin doing awesome juggling shit 😊

I am floored by how quickly the Eastside Spin Jam community is growing. 2023 has been an amazing year for me. But this? This is what I'm most proud of. We had 19 people show up to our jam today. Thank you so much for your support everyone. I am beyond thrilled to dance with you. ❤️‍🔥 #flowarts #flowstagram #seattleflowarts #seattleflowartscollective #eastsidespinjam #bellevuespinjam
