THIS SUNDAY 6/28!

After last month’s amazing open deck, we are back at @friendsandloversbk for a VERY SPECIAL VINYL-ONLY OPEN DECK & RECORD FAIR.

There will be more sets available this time! Starting at 4pm, there will be half-hour sets available on a FIRST-COME FIRST-SERVED basis until 10pm. Sign up at the bar.

Some special vendors will be setting up shop during the event and slinging vinyl from their curated collections. Joining us are @colinxmiller @raindelayrecords @uncledad, Taj, and more. Expect a choice selection of funk, hip-hop, tropical rhythms, and soul.

Bring your own records, or buy some at the event and spin them right there. Have records you don’t play that are taking up space? Bring them to sell and swap with others. Either way- stop in and say hi!

Any genre welcome. All experience levels encouraged.

Bring your own headphones. 🎧
Thank you to all the DJs who showed up and spun last time 🙏

Hosted by Perlin Noise & Friends

(If you sell records and want to be involved, DM me!)

Proof Of Life / Busy Week Ahead:

Tuesday 4.28: @synthicidenyc presents the Italo Disco Legacy screening at @nitehawkcinema w/ Q&A to follow feat. @maiovvi_yegods & @danselzer. This is completely sold out but anyone can come hear me spin an all vinyl Italo set at the pre-party in the downstairs bar from 7-9pm. Strong s/o to my sister in synth @andi80s & mega congrats on your soon to be released 33 1/3 book on The Cure’s Disintegration album!

Wednesday 4.29: My all vinyl adventures continue in The Foyer of @no9nyc from 8:30-11pm. This will be more on the house & 80s funk tip. Big up to the hot honey herself @anna_collecta & thanks for all that you do. It’s refreshing to see so many women excelling in the music curation field - nuff respect ladies!

Saturday 5.2: Time for another installment of @ravereviews.bk at @cafebalearica. @colinxmiller & yours truly will be rinsing ecstatic house classics & electronic anthems from across the ages. Thanks to @togetherdisco & the whole staff for allowing us to hold down this monthly. Your support means a lot! 10pm until 4am / DM for guestlist…

Sunday 5.3: I’m excited to join @melodizemusic label boss @officialbeartrax & local legend @partydad for a Funday night at @jupiter_disco from 7pm-2am. Sure to be packed full of synths, timeless 80’s jams & who knows what else!

All in all it sounds like a lot of music prep is in order but I’m always up for a good challenge. Hope to see some of y’all out there. Pic taken at @carousel_bk by the great @davefotogram 📸

😈 Attention all Club Demons + party people @colinxmiller + @rokoneder formally invite you to our night of high quality dance music from the past + present: @ravereviews.bk at @cafebalearica this Saturday 4/4!

We’ve been rocking first Saturdays at Balearica for almost a year to Rave Reviews (see what we did there) so we figured it’s time to give this party a name + identity - namely play cool shit that we like, push some boundaries but keep it rooted in accessible dance music for the people + no 🗑️. Killer selection, no egos or scene bullshit just fun music + dancing! Come check us out + have a dance under the disco ball! 🪩 🔊🚨
