Huge congratulations to Training Matrix Athlete @lucymatuszak2028 on her commitment to Stanford University where she will continue her academic & athletic career to play NCAA Division I Women’s Beach Volleyball!!!

It’s undeniable that I’ve been eagerly waiting for this moment for several years now, and as much as I try to, I cannot properly put into words just how proud I am of Lucy—Instagram has let me know several times now that my caption is too long. So with several revisions, I have to start off by saying that it’s been my greatest honor, pleasure, & fulfillment to have watched someone so hard working & deserving as Lucy to receive this amazing opportunity.

With the kind of work behind the scenes that she puts in on/off the court, and to the level of detail and execution on a weekly basis, coupled with her overall mindset, it is no surprise that she has now landed herself at her dream school, a top ranked NCAA DI program, and arguably one of the most prestigious institutions in the country, if not the world.

Adding to that, Lucy is one of the most focused, mature, driven, consistent, strong-willed, process-driven, committed, & resilient athletes I’ve ever known. As a human, she is one of the most well-rounded, respectful, dependable, self-sufficient, coachable, honest, kind…. of goofy, and delightful people to be around. I don’t know anyone that doesn’t love and respect Lucy.

Needless to say, to watch her grow & develop over the years has been special & inspiring to say the least. She sets the bar high, shows up ready to go, always gives me her very best, listens intently, and is a perfect role model for younger athletes to come. There’s a reason why she’s a 10x National Champion, USA Beach National Team Athlete, and considerably the top recruit in the country.

All in all, this girl is special beyond words both as an athlete and as a person. I couldn’t be happier for her & her family. The little Lucy I met 4 years ago full of goals, aspirations, & non-stop talking, singing, and occasional dance moves would be so stoked. Stanford got a good one.

So proud of you Lucy, keep up the good work!

Huge congratulations to Training Matrix Athlete @sageillian on her commitment to The University of Texas where she will continue her academic & athletic career to play NCAA DI Women’s Beach Volleyball!!!
🤘🏽🐂

Sage is an absolute stud and is one of the most talented & gifted players I’ve had the pleasure of working with over the years. It is no question that she certainly has a bright future ahead with an already impressive resume that speaks volumes for itself at only 16 years old—USA U18 Beach Volleyball National Team Athlete, Multiple-Time Beach National Champion, and an accomplished indoor volleyball athlete, who is top ranked in the state of Kansas.

While accolades and accomplishments are nice, it doesn’t mean very much to me if you aren’t a person of high character and strong values, and that’s exactly who Sage is. I think everyone who knows Sage absolutely loves her and has the utmost respect for this girl. She’s got to be one of the kindest, sweetest, and most thoughtful humans I know. Not only that, but her work ethic, maturity, drive, focus, eagerness, and willingness to be coached and mentored is on a whole different level.

To put into perspective, Sage works with me remotely and flies all the way out here from Kansas to train with me in the weight room and on the sand—her commitment level, discipline, consistency, and dedication to herself is just unreal and elite beyond measure. As with all Training Matrix Athletes, I’m extremely fortunate and grateful to be along for the ride as she continues to grow & develop over the course of our time together. I greatly appreciate her and her family’s trust, support, and dedication to make the commitments they make in order to help me get Sage college-ready, and ultimately, in the best possible form she can be to dominate on/off the court.

All in all, I am so proud of Sage and all of who she’s becoming. I know she will make an immediate impact at Texas and will surely be a great addition to the community. Looking forward to all she continues to accomplish next and to cheer for her at the next level.

Keep up the good work Sage, HORNS UP!

Huge congratulations to Training Matrix Athlete & USA Beach National Team Athlete @madison.gillinger.2028 on her commitment to continue her academic & athletic journey at UCLA to play NCAA Division I Women’s Beach Volleyball!!! @uclabeachvb

At the end of the day, there’s nothing more gratifying as a coach than to see someone like Maddie commit to her dream school. She has worked extremely hard for this special opportunity since the first day we met and she always went above & beyond in all that was asked of her in training. Not only that, she was highly consistent, she made the necessary sacrifices every week, she stayed disciplined & committed to the process, she showed up late hours just to make it work after long days, she stayed loyal to herself and her goals, and best of all, she always gave me her best through & through during every training session.

To know how much this prestigious means to her and to see her finally get to this point in her college recruiting journey, especially after all the unseen hours… it is hard to describe the feeling, but I’d say that I definitely sleep better at night knowing she is happy and now able to live out her dreams.

For the younger ones out there, something that stands out about Maddie is how attentive and open to learning she was from the beginning. During her full-body assessment & performance screening, no matter how detailed, intricate, or in-depth, we got with it, she listened intently, took what resonated with her, chimed in further, and even asked her own follow-up questions to the things I was pointing out and teaching her. Fast forward to today, I guess it’s safe to say she took it and ran with it.

All in all, I’m so proud of Maddie and the person she’s becoming along the way. She’s got the right mindset, discipline, consistency, attitude, and willingness. Most importantly, she’s kind, respectful, has a good head on her shoulders, and is focused on the right things. UCLA got a good one and she’ll fit right in with the reigning NCAA DI NATIONAL CHAMPIONS.

Keep up the good work, Maddie! 🐻💙💛

Huge congratulations to Training Matrix Athlete, USA Beach National Athlete, and Silver Medalist @karaboasvb2028 on her commitment to Pepperdine University where she will continue her academic & athletic journey to play NCAA Division I Beach Volleyball!!! @pepperdinebvb

If there is anyone who absolutely deserves this special opportunity, it’s this young lady right here.

Kara Boas is a lead example of someone who shows up fully, brings the best attitude, remains disciplined, never complains, and simply puts their head down and gets to work. On that note, I’d say most favorite thing about Kara since the day she reached out is that I always know exactly what I’m getting out of her whenever she’s in and that she never ever fails to go above and beyond for me—something you just can’t teach or force out of an athlete, but will always recognize it in those who want it for themselves most.

Even more importantly, Kara is incredible off the court just as much as she is on the court. She crushes it academically, she is well-loved & respected by all of those around her, she is kind & thoughtful—except for when she brought me Dubai chocolate, but ate it before it could actually get to me—and best of all, she is uplifting & always sees the best in others. For these reasons, and more, I always look forward to working with Kara each and every week.

All in all, Kara has a great head on her shoulders and I know she’ll be successful in all that she goes after in life. Needless to say, it’s been an honor & privilege to witness her growth and development behind the scenes, and I can’t wait to see what she does next. Pepperdine got a good one.

So proud of you Kara, keep up the good work!
