This one became three things — a poem, a piece of art, and a song — without the artists ever talking to each other or me. Link in bio to hear it. 🎷 Save this. Tag someone who'd love this collab story.

A great night performing @word salad last Saturday.
Thank you @collidinglines &@words.wes for creating a wonderful atmosphere ❤️

It was a great line-up and @jakewildhall was smashing and, to boot, a lovely guy❤️

This cut is a Sestina poem (strict form using six words repeated in a set format) it's titled, 'The Bees Knees,' I have purposefully broken the golden rule by using a cliché here to emphasise the point that it was an important form of communication in a rural working-class upbringing.

Some lovely shots if slightly unhinged facial expressions from my first festival performance. Thank you @strawberry_fair for having us from @collidinglines in the arts quarter.

Pictures by @pjrc.photos - such a talented little stunner.

First time reading at Strawberry Fair. It poured with rain. Everyone was frozen but we gave it our all in the arts quarter anyway.

So much fun to do a slightly longer set and hear all the other great poets as well.

Intergalactic THANKS and love to the amazing all-female team behind the first ever SoapBox Poetry stage at @strawberry_fair this year in #cambridge From transport, to gazebos, tents, sound, stage management, hosting, set up & take down, we did it all. 8 hours straight of spoken word in a field, in some of the most challenging weather circumstances. Rain. Big gusts. The lot. Thank you @juliapeculiaa and @antoniacook you are AMAZING! All along we had great audiences who showed up in spite of it, and with big smiles on all our faces! Special thanks to @collidinglines @words.wes and @daisytgee for organising and hosting magnificent two hour 'Word Salad' special, bringing along very talented folks, including an long time SoapBox fab @hannahjanster which was a lovely surprise for me! Massive thanks to the poets who put in so much time to get there, share their words, endure the weather, and support each other too. @davidmustill @ginnb900 @johnrowstory @bamber_1977 @james_domestic Tulin Silverwind. Poetry really is quite a special community. Never-ending bottomless love to Strawberry Fair, and particularly Mark McGivern, for giving us this unique opportunity. Strawberry Fair is really magnificent. Brilliantly well managed, with a team of volunteers who were an utter to delight to meet. Lots of laughs and support all round. Political, passionate and so much fun. Thank you!!! (Now go donate to Strawberry Fair and help it happen again next year) #getonthesoapbox

Visibility is not just about getting on the biggest stage.

It is about becoming easier to find, easier to remember and easier to book.

Open mics, poetry nights, library rooms, writing groups and community spaces are where poets build consistency. A room can become a clip. A clip can become a contact. A contact can become the next route.

This month’s roundup includes routes across the Midlands, South, London/South East, North, East, West and Wales, with community-submitted spaces added to the map.

Check current pages before travelling. Dates move. Rooms change. The route still matters.

Poets and spoken word artists can submit work through the link in bio. Just 8 questions.

Where should poets be checking in your city?
