“You can design, and create, and build the most wonderful place in the world. But, it takes people to make the dream a reality.”

The people are what made this opportunity so special. I got to meet lots of people from fellow cast members, to guests, to locals, to other college program participants, and everyone in between. My vacation planning family was one of the best parts. I’m incredibly lucky to have gotten assigned such a cool job with even cooler people. It was the best role I could’ve possibly gotten and a very uncommon one to be given on a college program. I learned more from the people I worked with than I did from anything else on this journey. We spent a lot of quality time together in those ticket booths after all. We shared many laughs and memories. The majority of people I worked with were twice and triple my age, but it was so much fun. Going to the parks after work with ladies old enough to be my grandmother was something unique I will carry with me forever. They share from experience, and believe me, we need to hear more of that expertise in our younger years. I already miss them. I also want to give a recognition to the best roommates I’ve ever had. They were the perfect match. I couldn’t have picked anyone better, even though we rarely got to see each other in passing. I always knew they were there, and that was special in its own way. Last, I want to give the biggest shoutout to those who don’t belong to the first two categories because they were not obligated to get to know me, but chose to anyway. You know who you are. There were many more amazing individuals not pictured here. For starters, my work best friend and original friend group I arrived with didn’t even make this cut. The supportive community of believers I got to be a part of is missing from this one too. I’m thankful for each of you though. See ya real soon.

Thank you Disney for these people and memories that I will never forget. Thank you apartment 10413 for being a safe space where I was so lucky to get paired with my best friends. Very happy to be going home but very sad that I can’t just pack all these people I met up and take them back to Ohio with me. Here’s to the craziest adventure of a lifetime✨🏰

Good Afternoon Everyone,
Did you that the Mercyhurst University Hospitality Department sponsored by Walker College of Business hosted a day in Hospitality event where the prospective student got to attend a hospitality class called HRIM-212-01 FTM: Purchasing for the Hospitality Industry. This event happened in the Spring Semester 2019 at Mercyhurst University. After this class ended, the prospective student and their parents got to ask questions to students that were majoring in Hospitality with some type of concentration that can include hotels, event, or food and beverage. Then, the Mercyhurst University Hospitality Department hosted the prospective student and their parents to lunch at Egan Dining Hall. After that, the prospective student and their parents got tour of Mercyhurst University.
Also, did you know that Hospitality majors at Mercyhurst University have access to more than 300 possible internships across the United States of America and around the world. Some of these internships can include working at Omni Bedford Springs Resort and Spa in Bedford, Pennsylvania, an other at Omni Louisville Hotel located in Louisville, Kentucky, and maybe another at Cedar Point Amusement Park located in Sandusky, Ohio.
So check out the Hospitality major at Mercyhurst University, and see how sweet the major is for you, and how you can make Mercyhurst University your home because hurst is home!
Carpe Diem!

Being black is hard in this country for many reasons but I refuse to let people steal my joy or be ashamed of being black. Also there is no one way to being black and that’s what makes African Americans so beautiful. ✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾
