Lately my self-esteem has been effected not by social media itself but by it’s filters specifically. A few months ago I kept using one filter and was seriously looking into buying green contacts because of it. It hit me one day, wow! If I was a teenage girl how would I ever feel comfortable with my natural self. Luckily when I was a teen we only had billboards and magazines to make us feel the pressure of abnormal “beauty”. I decided to share this with you because if I am feeling it so are others. I actually worry that these filters can cause a body dysmorphia disorder especially at a young age.
*Does anyone else feel this way?

Thank you @raineysmithmusic @k.estelphoto @katriicia @valleisvalle @c.leelashes for going filter free with me. I have amazing friends. 🥺💕

9 months ago. Holy shit.
9 months ago these videos were taken outside of the hospital that my dad was on life support in. Keeping a smile on my face for Benicio was one of my main focuses, but all of the times that he went home and I stayed at the hospital were sloppy, messy, slobber tears. Sleeping on hospital chairs, floors, benches, staring at my dad praying he would come back. Through all of that, and finding out while I was in Van and packing up in 10 mins and coming here uncomfortably fast, my best friend stood by me. Slept by me on hospital chairs, cried in my arms as I was sobbing and drooling in hers. Made me laugh. A lot. Nervous laughter mixed with trying to use humour to fix dark traumatic situations mixed with suicidal thoughts all running through my brain and coming out of my mouth - I was a mess to say the least. My best friend, she stayed the whole time until we unplugged my dad. She stood with me in the room. Through ALL of it. The good the bad the ugly.
I am so blessed to have you, Colo. you aren’t a regular friend. You are extraordinary, empathetic, caring, you are nurturing, you are family. I couldn’t ever forget the way you have been there for me every time I’ve ever needed you, but this time, this time I couldn’t forget if I lost my memory. It’s engraved in my heart, you are a special and beautiful soul, I’m blessed to walk this realm with you by my side. As my best friend. As my sister. As someone I love, and as someone my whole family loves. Thank you Nicole Jean Donna Schaefer🖤 (is that your name? Or what? It is now)
Also- volume on the first video is iconic. You are my spirit animal. 🎥

Wishing my bestie a beautiful year. You’re one year older, this chapter is gonna be the best one yet, love you boo Boo. You are my heart & soul and I would not be the woman I am without you by my side. Thank you for helping me grow when I didn’t know it was time for me to grow. Thank you for being my rock when I can’t help but jus cry ✊🏽 and most of all thank you for ‬being the most beautiful soul I’ve ever encountered, when I hear you sing it makes me wanna sing, and when I hear you laugh it makes me wanna laugh. You are such a huge part of my life, and you are 110% the only person that knows me better than I know myself. All of my favourite memories, you are in. I can sit with you and listen to every genre of music and pick apart every reason why we love it(except country don’t be disgusting) & I love when we jus be sitting playing guitar and making up random songs on the spot (AND THAT TIME WE RECORDED ONE. Why are we like this?) What I’m saying is that before we were close I didn’t have the individuality or confidence to be myself and like what I like, and you helped mould me into the woman I was posed to be. We definitely don’t have one style..we wear everything AND MAKE IT WORKKK! Period. 🤪❤️ I mean I could really go on forever about how much you mean to me, I jus can’t even put into words the impact you’ve had on my life. Man, when my momma called me n told me about my dad you put your life on hold and you travelled to Vic wit me, you slept in the hospital with me for 3 days, and you stood with me IN THE ROOM, while my dad was on life support. You supported me while I watched him pass. Worst week of my life, and you still managed to make me smile and laugh. You are my family, and you are one of the most brilliant women I know. I love you till the end of time Colooo❤️ my sister, my partner in crime, thank you for being YOU. ✊🏽 You have no idea how much you have helped me, be the best me. You are my forever friend. I am so proud of you, I cry when I think of how proud I am to call YOU my best friend. Life has a weird way of blessing you wit exactly who you need, and you was exactly who I needed when we met. We have grown immensely. Cheers to you baby ☺️
