Precursor to the turducken: the pumpkin pot. Braised @buttonwoodfarm chicken in a pumpkin from @colonialfarmskc with farm market napa cabbage, sweet onions, @myco.planet shrooms, every herb I’ve grown this season, smoked salt, lots of ground pepper, and a little cool air through the house. Dinner was served. Late, but served. Right off the counter, straight from the pot. It’s fall. #pumpkinpot #morethanamarket #teachingkitchen #fallfoodfun #feedingmyfamily

Picking season is short, so plan your fall adventure now.

Fall U-pick season is here around Kansas City, and there’s a little bit of everything - apples and pears, pumpkins, flowers, seasonal pedicure and plenty of cider along the way.

We rounded up some of our favorite farms and Orchards for you to visit this September + October so you can make a day of it.

Save for your fall bucket list!

Make sure you follow @locate_kc to stay up to date on all things Kansas City, Kansas and Missouri.

The Locate Team are your local Kansas City real estate advisors with @compasskansascity helping people buy, sell and love where they live 🏡

We cut flowers at Colonial Farms wildflower cutting field. They provide the mason jars and the cutting shears. I don’t know how much it would have cost if you took your own mason jar and cutting shears, but it cost us $17 each. They also had smaller jars for $12 each. Check their website for a list of the fall events that they are going to have. It’s a really nice family-friendly place to visit in Blue Springs, Missouri. @colonialfarmskc
