A group of bighorn rams clash heads on a grassy hillside at the start of the breeding season to establish dominance. The impacts can be heard from far away, and a large ram’s horns can weigh around 14 kg (30 lb) combined.

This was filmed in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Male bighorn sheep chase a lone ewe that wandered into their group, following her closely along the road.

A ewe is a female bighorn, and ewes usually live apart from rams until the fall breeding season.

This was filmed in Waterton Canyon, southwest of Denver, Colorado.

Two bighorn sheep rams square off on a shrubby hillside, then lunge into a head-to-head clash.

Rams use head-on contests to establish dominance before the breeding season. A mature ram’s horns can make up as much as 10 percent of its body weight, and the horns and their bony cores help absorb impact.

Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep are the state animal of Colorado, where this scene was filmed.

Happy masculinity Monday! It’s a very special time of year at masc Monday HQ— its rut season, which means the male elk in the US go totally psycho bananas and start rushing SUVs and I dunno I just think it’s hilarious.

On a less light note DAMN YALL wtf is up w men lately?? Yall gotta pull up your boys. Male violence against women is men’s problem to fix. I appreciate seeing men speak on this and have included some of them in this carousel. TALK TO YOUR BOYS ABOUT THIS SH!T. Stepmilfy is tired. Xx

Tell me you’re an introvert who loves hiking without telling me. 😂

Can anyone else relate? 🤦🏼‍♀️🙋🏼‍♀️

You head out on a trail looking for a little solitude and peace… and so did 147 other people. 😂

This elk gets me!

🌊🏔️ I TRADED THE SKI SLOPES FOR THE RAPIDS! 🏔️🌊

What better way to experience Colorado than from the middle of the Arkansas River?! 🚣‍♀️💦

For my newest American Dream TV adventure, I headed to Cañon City for an unforgettable day of whitewater rafting with Raft Masters through the stunning Bighorn Sheep Canyon.

And WOW… what an adventure! 😍

We tackled Class II & III rapids, learned all about the river and how water levels are measured in CFS (apparently, Freck measures it in chickens 😂🐔), took in some absolutely incredible Colorado scenery—and yes… we got VERY wet! 🌊😂

Our guide Freck was amazing. He made the whole experience fun, exciting and, most importantly, made everyone feel comfortable, even when those rapids got a little crazy! 🙌

That’s what I loved most about this experience. Colorado has SO many ways to get outside and explore, and sometimes the best adventures happen when you step just a little outside your comfort zone.

🎬 Come adventure with me on my newest American Dream TV episode!

And if you find yourself in Cañon City, I highly recommend adding whitewater rafting with Raft Masters to your Colorado bucket list.

Have you ever been whitewater rafting in Colorado? If not, would you try it?! 👇
