Yesterday, like in many other cities on the last Saturday of the month, we would have been @theparlorhw for our April @hashtaglunchbagla event. That obviously didn’t happen and may not happen again for quite some time.

Like many non-profits, especially ones like ours that are built on creating social connection, we’ve been struggling to to understand where we fit in a post-Covid world; A world where physical distancing and lingering fear will continue to compound indefinitely.

Yesterday, in an attempt to recreate what we do digitally, we hosted a Zoom meet up for our OGs, chapter organizers, and volunteer community to come together to create message/notes to be relayed and posters/artwork to be displayed in their windows, doorway, balconies, etc for commuters, pedestrians, Amazon delivery drivers to see - with the hopes of adding a little joy to an otherwise weird af time.

Always amazing to see people from different backgrounds (age, color, profession, geography) come together for a common cause. Grateful for the community we’ve built and excited to grow these efforts and evolve into the next wave of our vision... whatever that looks like.

From a ripple to a wave. #❤️
