“Somewhere between the bottom of the climb and the summit is the answer to the mystery of why we climb.”

AFR Leadership Summit—what an experience.

To the people I was blessed to meet and the friends I got to see again, thank you so much for allowing me to serve on the Youth Advisory Council—your support means the world to me. As we stood on stage and I looked out at the large circle of people, I didn’t just see fellow camp members. I saw a support system, priceless friendships, and a family that showed me what it felt like to belong. In the same way, my goal is to help others find a sense of belonging in this incredible organization.🤍

And finally, to SSK, #HannahMaeHaysFromChisholm, P. Brown, and Lil Big Burns, I love each of you tremendously. I believe that God had a plan when He placed us on this team, and I’m beyond eager to see what the journey through this year will bring.🌹🕯️

AFR Leadership Summit 2026, you have truly left me speechless.

“I will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them; I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth. These are the things I will do; I will not forsake them.”
-Isaiah 42:16

Thank you to everyone who is trusting me with this incredible opportunity. I am so incredibly grateful for the people who have been by my side throughout it all, and I can’t wait to serve an organization that has poured so much into me.

SSK, Cricket’s Sister, Lil Big Burns, and P Brown, let’s make this an unforgettable year. You guys will never truly know how much you mean to me, and I am so grateful to have you all by my side!

“Success is stumbling from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm.”

Wow. Just wow.

Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to serve on the 2026–2027 AFR Youth Advisory Council. One of my first goals as an 8th grader was to one day serve on this council, so being here now is still a little surreal. If you would’ve told 8th-grade Paxton that one day he’d be standing in front of hundreds of people speaking for a position on this council, I would’ve told you that you were crazy.

But that’s the thing about goals. You don’t always know how you’re going to get there, and honestly, you probably won’t get there without failing a few times along the way. I’ve learned that sometimes the biggest thing standing between you and your goals is yourself.

Success isn’t guaranteed, and I think that’s what makes it so rewarding when you finally accomplish something you’ve worked toward for years. Keep showing up. Keep trying. Stay resilient. You might surprise yourself with what you’re capable of.

SSK, Lil Big Burns, HannahMaeHaysFromChisholm, and Crickets Sister — let’s make this the best year ever! 🤝

ALSO… fast forward to the end to see little Paxton (and Austin) at their very first AFR contest. Crazy how things come full circle.

AFR Camp 2026!!

Dear AFR-

Thank you for making my past couple summer’s worthwhile. I am beyond blessed for all of the life long friends I have made through this amazing experience.

Although this is the end of a remarkable era, the lessons and connections that AFR has given me will be carried with me wherever God has planned for me.

To all of the old and new friends I made at this camp, thank you. Thank you for giving me a place where I feel loved and a sense of belonging. AFR camp would not be AFR camp without each and every individual there. God was working in so many amazing ways this past week and I am so glad we got to experience that together!

Good bye AFR Camp! Love you all 🤟
