CHRISTIANS and HALLOWEEN... Should we even be doing this?

One side says: “It’s just costumes and candy.”

The other says: “Christians have NO business celebrating Halloween.”

So… who’s right?

This week on Pour In, Pour Out, we’re going there. Not with fear. Not with legalism. Not with a list of rules. But with Scripture.

Using 1 Corinthians 8, we’re talking about conviction, conscience, Christian freedom, and the responsibility we have to consider how our choices affect others. Because maybe the question isn’t just: “Is Halloween right or wrong?”

Maybe we need to ask: Should we RECEIVE it? Should we REJECT it? Or can we REDEEM it? And ultimately… What does my participation say about the posture of my heart toward Jesus? This one might challenge you.

“Should Christians Celebrate Halloween… Yes or No?” Listen now.

These are the moments… I am so blessed to have a front row seat to these full circle moments God has given me. I’ve been to and seen well over 100 concerts since I first met @jennwest_blessedmess now our daughter Brooklynn is getting her time to sing. Following in her Mama’s footsteps… the eyes were definitely sweaty last night. 🥹 Beautiful performance from @smithsonvalleymschoir and @smithsonvalleyhschoir! ❤️🙌🏼🙏🏼🔥🎶🎵#choir #thefutureisbright #fullcircle #blessed #svnation

This week Jenn sits down with Chris and they talk about her experience from women’s retreat at Mo Ranch in Hunt, Texas. Located in the beautiful hill country on the Guadalupe River, 100 women from 18 different churches were able to spend their time together worshipping, praying, and soaking up God’s love and presence. Jenn was asked to speak and she reshares the words that God wanted her to speak to the ladies over weekend. Conduit... change agent... this is an episode you will love, there is something in here for everyone!

Last Thursday was soaking wet, but we were dry. There’s something neat about a game in the rain. The guys played well and everyone showed up for support. God bless this community! Today is game day once again. Friday night lights. Enjoy the blessings. #smithsonvalleyhighschool #fridaynightlights #texashighschoolfootball #gameday #rangernation

What if gratitude isn’t just something we feel when life is good—but a spiritual practice that changes how we see everything?

In this week’s episode, Eucharisteo, we’re digging into this beautiful biblical word and the connection between grace, gratitude, and joy.

Jesus gave thanks in ordinary moments, before miracles, and even when He knew suffering was coming. His life reminds us that thanksgiving isn’t dependent on our circumstances—it’s rooted in knowing who God is.

We’re also talking about what it looks like to intentionally notice God’s gifts in the middle of real, everyday life and how gratitude can shift our hearts from scarcity to abundance.

Grab your cup, listen in, and be filled up.

What if the joy we’ve been looking for begins with simply giving thanks?
