A little more of the creative process, a little closer to the big reveal! 🎨🌿

After completing the base painting on location at Lakebottom Park, our 2027 Arts in the Park Festival Artist took inspiration from the park’s natural beauty to create an entirely new layer of the work.

Using flowers and plants found throughout Lakebottom Park as inspiration, the artist created individual botanical elements before carefully incorporating them into the original painting through collage, bringing new texture, dimension, and life to this one-of-a-kind mixed-media piece.

We can’t wait to share the finished work with you!

Stay tuned as we get ready to reveal the completed and framed Festival Art, and officially introduce our 2027 Arts in the Park Festival Artist.

Join us at Lakebottom Park on Sunday, April 25, 2027, for another wonderful celebration of arts & culture in Columbus, Georgia! 🌿✨

From all of us here at Columbus & the Valley, we want to thank everyone who came out to celebrate and support our 5 Under 40 and Rising Star honorees!

Since 2008, we’ve been proud to recognize the outstanding young professionals who are making Columbus a better place to work and live. Each year, this event gives us the opportunity to celebrate the talent, dedication and community spirit that make our area that big small town you know and love.

We’re also grateful to the Columbus Chamber of Commerce for its continued partnership with their Young Professionals program and for helping us celebrate the next generation of community leaders.

We also want to shout out Columbus State for letting us use their iconic Rankin Livery once again and David Benefield for the beautiful fall centerpieces.

Congratulations again to all our honorees. We wish you nothing but continued success!

Want to be part of next year’s celebration? Start thinking about the inspiring young professionals in your life who are making a difference. We can’t wait to see who you nominate for next year’s 5 Under 40!
