Last Friday we celebrated a major milestone at our Sunrise Village project in Vancouver with a topping-off party!!

Thank you to all the trade workers who’ve worked hard to bring this project to life. Lunch was provided by @nightshiftministries (with thanks to @countrylumber.ltd !!), and raffle prizes generously donated by our subcontractors and suppliers were handed out to the crews on site. Despite the rain, spirits were high and the energy was great!

Special thanks to the companies that helped make the day possible: Atrysten, Dixon, Colwin, Levelhead, Fabtech, CDE, Country Lumber, Burnco, Griff Building Supplies, Adler Firestopping, Dynamic Rental, Pit Stop Toilets, Peak Disposal, Super Save Fencing, and Assured Safety

Our Special Services Group (SSG) partnered with Covenant House Vancouver to convert a downtown location that included offices into transitional housing. Through renovations, we expanded capacity from 25 to 44, creating bachelor units for vulnerable youth.

Inside, we reconfigured the main floor and common areas, installed air conditioning, and upgraded storm and sanitary connections. The exterior also received a refresh with new paint, pressure washing, new balcony guard rails, and refurbishment of the heritage doors and window trims.

With this full-scale renovation, Covenant House can continue supporting the community, providing fully furnished private apartments, 24-hour support, life skills training, and employment assistance.

It's never a “pane” to see Phoenix Glass working hard on a weekend installing curtain wall glazing systems on level 1 at our 150 West 4th location.

The triple glazed low E Argon units were an upgrade to improve the building's energy model and align with the City of Vancouver's ‘NET-ZERO’ emission plans. Installed using Jekko (spider cranes) and 4 pad vacuum lifters to expedite installation efficiencies.

Time is Money!
