On Saturday, May 16, join us to celebrate 33 years of Asian–Black coalition with a powerful evening rooted in solidarity and creativity.

Featuring an exciting culinary lineup with Chef Elijah Milligan (Lovechild), Kampar Kongsi bringing bold Southeast Asian cocktails, and a special VIP experience with Chef Kurt Evans (Black Dragon Takeout).
The Gala will be hosted by @visitphilly ‘s Binh Nguyen as your MC for the night.

With performances by the @philadelphiasuns , jazz pianist @sumitonooka , and spoken words by Michelle Myers.

Told yall I was gon be unapologetically Vietnamese during the time of Lunar New Years… 🤭🐉

What a privilege it is to serve the communities I once longed for, being able to celebrate AND share it with others, to have found others with a shared mission of highlighting, representing and exploring our heritage, honoring tradition while remixing it in our own ways.

While the world is on fire with its deafening chaos, I can lean on my tribe and their efforts of doing the good work and call that my sanctuary that can silence the craziness.

Maybe my burning passion for all of this is the result of my younger years rejecting my culture, but one thing I do known is that this vietnamese shit be having me so emotional yall i swear, i love this shit sm. I couldn’t be more prouder of the sacrifices my immigrant refugee family made in order for me to have the life I have today and the agency to do everything that I do.

Year of the Fire Horse baby, lets get this shit. 2026 has officially begun 🔥🐎🧧🎊

I love this Vietnamese shit so fuckin much man and I love you Philly.
Imagine living somewhere there isn’t a @rolandbui to assemble folks together with multiple layers of intention to celebrate Vietnamese pride, culture, heritage, and New Year, couldn’t be me.

(I missed the shredded chicken dish by le viet and donuts by @okiedokiedonuts bc i dug into them before i thought my phone existed whoops) and coffee jelly salted foam combo by @dripvietcafe at 10pm had me in a different dimension after all that food
