First off, ALL Glory to God in the HIGHEST.✝️

He who grants me all the gifts and opportunities needed to demand greatness out of myself.

Also the ability to stand tall through any and all adversity/circumstances I’m faced with.🙏🏼

Saturday night I was tested.👏🏼

I continue to learn more about myself and level up each time in there. 📈

Refining the product and building more confidence is the goal every time.🧠

My biggest lesson this go was that there is no bad business in this game when both fighters do their part contractually.

Noise will ALWAYS be just noise.

Respect is only earned in the cage and to think it’s given or achieved before that is foolish.💯

Thank you @rs.juice for getting locked in there with me and summoning that fire.

I believe this was the perfect @combatnightmma Main Event and I’ve heard nothing but great things from all the crew, fans, and spectators.❤️

I was pleased with the improvements made from my first to second pro fight.

I am beyond blessed with the right people supporting and helping me make MY way in this game.🙌🏼

A decade later, but it feels like yesterday.

It feels surreal that he’s been gone for 10 years. I can’t count the number of times I scrolled down memory lane over the last week as we prepared for our first international event. I found myself wondering where we would be if he were still here…to be honest, he was the dreamer and the guy that believed we could do anything. While I was the one that figured out the logistics to make it happen and told him he was crazy… which leads me to one of my favorite memories and a pivotal moment in his career as a fighter as well as @combatnightmma. Josh had already tried out for the Ultimate Fighter 4 times before they announced another season at middleweight. I called him to make sure he heard the news… and he told me he wasn’t trying out. I don’t remember how long @combatcox229 gave him shit about having to try out, but I’m thankful he finally listened. It was one of the few times the roles were reversed and I was the one believing something was possible that he felt was impossible.

You only get one chance at this thing called life and I am thankful that I’ve been blessed enough to be surrounded by amazing people throughout it like @joshsamman. This week is always a roller coaster of emotion because of everything that’s happened over the years… but it also reminds me of how blessed/lucky I am to have the people in my life that I do.
