How was your summer Georgie? 😉

Bloody lovely, thank you. Took a well overdue bit of annual leave (do you still call it that when you’re self employed?), got some much needed sun with @northernben98, and said the easiest yes of my life to the most thoughtful man alive 💍☀️ before swapping the sea and sand of Croatia for the drizzle and bagpipes of the Fringe 🇭🇷➡️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

A huge thank you to the brilliant staff at @hootsfringe and to @comedylopez and the @comedy.sheep gang for being the loveliest people to work with 🎤🐑

The Edinburgh Stats:

Shows: 280 🫡
Biblical floods: 1 🌧️
Stars: 54.5 ⭐️
Trips to the print shop: ♾️
% of my lungs that is now spray adhesive: 80 😅

Feel like I’ve crash landed into September but it was worth every minute. Excited to get back into things this month - back in rehearsals with @tenderfoot.theatre, a super exciting mini tour with @jamesdowdeswellcomedian, slinging margs on camera with @twocentspizza and working with some new faces too 👀

Oh did I mention I got engaged? I’m being really casual about it. 💕

Part one of many post Edinburgh Fringe posts, starting with my having won a Pegasus award for the “Cowards Hour.” Given to the best 45 minute show now officially renamed to;
“The Steffan Alun Memorial Award for best 45 minute show.”
As you can tell from the speech I was not expecting it in the slightest. I’m sorry mum and dad for not thanking you (and the academy)… 11 years into stand up and I finally feel a part of what I’ve wanted to be a part of since I was 6 years old! A lil mention in the British Comedy Guide made me internally squeee with excitement.
For now I’m catching up on sleep, admin and planning the next stages for this year and next.
Thank you @richardwrightdoart , thank you @savagecomics_ for insisting I do a speech and RIP @steffanalun, you will be missed.x

Edinburgh Fringe 2026 - Lobster 🦞

This year’s Fringe was one of the hardest and most rewarding months I’ve experienced at the Fringe. However, before I get into that, a massive thank you to anyone who bought a ticket to see ‘Lobster ‘, recommended it or left a review on the Fringe website. I really do appreciate all the support. I loved performing the show and having a laugh with so many different people throughout the month, especially the mad bastard who, for one show, heckled me consistently throughout, threatened to get a gun and then shook my hand on the way out and said, “Great show and you dealt with me really well.” Those are the moments that stick with you.

The fringe this year felt a little different, not just for me but loads of other acts, as ticket sales for the final week were brutally low. Acts were like seagulls fighting over scraps, trying to get bums on seats so if you’re someone I flyered that came to see the show - thank you! And if you’re someone that I flyered that told me to “fuck off.” I hope that you one day in the near future you trust a fart a little too much.

Amongst all the long days and 70+ gigs across the month they’re were plenty of highlights, and having a solid team of mates up is one of them, as it makes the entire thing a lot easier. I’m very proud and excited about what we’re creating at @getgiddier and look forward to what comes next after taking ‘Lobster’ on a UK Tour from September through to March next year!

Edinburgh fringe, you were utter chaos and I loved every second. I’ll never be able to look at another flyer again but all was impressive. Initially going up with no gigs, I ended up getting a chance do sets all over the city and work with some elite comics. A great send off with some great chums before Aus! #bpcomedy #benjaminpughcomedy #comedy #edinburghfringe #fringe
