We’re delighted to announce @j_keeen as the host of this year’s COMEDY COMMUNE AT MOGALE.

Joaquin works in the highly underrated business of convincing people of themselves — because, truly, self-doubt has had the stage long enough. Originally from Limpopo and now firmly rooted in Snor City for over a decade, he brings a rare blend of insight, humour, and humanity to every room he enters.

By day, Joaquin is an Industrial/Work Psychologist, helping people navigate work, life, and everything that happens in between. By night, he swaps the clipboard for a microphone, gathering audiences as a comedian with warmth, wit, and effortless charisma. It’s the perfect double life — and exactly the energy he’s bringing to our stage.

Join us as Joaquin guides the night with sharp humour, thoughtful presence, and that unmistakable Pretoria charm.

His refined ear and deep musical sensitivity allow him to move effortlessly through house, deep house, and minimal — creating atmospheric, emotionally rich sets that balance rhythm, groove, and intention.

As a selector, Chidi approaches each performance with precision, crafting experiences that feel both immersive and deeply personal. Through Groove City and appearances at respected platforms such as Whyly, he has established himself as a key voice in Johannesburg’s evolving electronic landscape.
