💚 FORTITUDE TAKES ON HEVER COMMANDO! 💪🔥

What an incredible day with our FortitudeFit family taking on the Hever Commando Challenge!

A fantastic turnout from our members and staff, all coming together to push their limits, tackle obstacles and support one another every step of the way!

The camaraderie around the course was what made the day so special. From overcoming fears of water to testing fitness levels and stepping outside comfort zones, everyone showed incredible determination and teamwork! 👏

This is what FortitudeFit is all about. More than just a gym, we’re a community that encourages, supports and celebrates each other’s achievements, both inside and outside the gym! 💚

It’s a real shame to see the Commando Series coming to an end, but what a brilliant event to be part of!

A massive well done to everyone who took part! 🙌

Guy's, once again you put on a great event, so sorry to hear that it's the last one 😢. 6K with 25 obstacles made more fun with great friends.
Looking forward to the professional photo's, I think 🤔🤣, even the one's of us crossing Peter's Pool!! 🥶, I'm sure it gets colder each year. 🤣.
Will be counting my bruises later. 🤣

#bosshog @thesuffolkwholehog #thewholehog completed it.

54 obstacles - 100% completed
I think I was I the river about 15 times 😂 splashy splashy 😁 but what a fantastic event. Already signed up for next year absolutely loved today. Thank you to the team of marshals.

I met some wonderful people @suffolkmind who were doing a fine job as always with plenty of people running from them today.

This year I am running for national @mindcharity aiming to hit 1200km run across 2026 through OCR and trail running.

Having gone from not being able to run 3km consistently and previously dislocating my knee to coming to this 7 mile event today and coming 55th of 380 entries. Perseverance and dedication is key. We can all do anything we believe to be impossible.

It's been a while since an update, sorry

October to date 17.07km (I forgot to post the 5km I did the other day)
Year to date 853.5km - 71.125% complete
Day 277 of 2026 - 75.89%

Officially 3/4 of 2026 completed! Not too far behind but the weather is much more favourable for me now so big gains are coming!

2 more events left in October

Next weekend

Weekend grit and grins from @commandoseries at Hever Castle 2025.

From Tunnel Rats to River Cross and The Wall, the photos perfectly capture how the recruits felt — humour, heart, and pure enjoyment. With brave recruits as young as seven taking on the challenge.

Find your photos via the link in our stories — relive the action.

Commando Series are proud to have Alzheimer’s Research UK as the official Charity Partner for the Commando Series 2025.

🪖COMMANDO SERIES - HEVER CASTLE🪖

We had such a fun day taking part in the 3km @commandoseries

It was Harpers first race event so I went for the 3km in the hope it wouldn’t completely put her off.

She enjoyed it so much she wants to sign up for the 6km route next year which has LOADS more obstacles.

What the photos don’t show is the waist high mud you have to wade through right at the beginning. But it was honestly so much fun. Can’t wait for next year.

This is my 3rd event with @castleraceseries and I think they’re so well put together.

Harper also enjoyed her first Nepalese curry from @momo_nepalesestreetfood 🍛 Delicious!!

COMMANDO SERIES 2025 7k!

Had so much fun getting muddy, wet and battered this weekend! Great event that was really well organised, all the marines were awesome and a massive shout out Sara for absolutely smashing it! 💪🏼

From a diagnosis of cauda equina and being told she will never be able to complete most exercise ever again…too smashing marine based obstacle courses!
Just shows you what can be achieved with the right mentality! Very proud!
