[Ep. 8 of Places to Work as a Solopreneur in KL & Selangor - Common Ground Q Sentral]

This haze is neverending ahhhhh 😖😡🤬 but that didn’t stop me from going out to work anymore because staying home was making me kinda emo looking at our sky 🥲

Additional notes about @commonground.work Q Sentral:

🍛 happy to see there’s a reasonably priced food court with nasi kandar, pan mee, chicken rice etc on level 12 of the building, don’t need to walk out for food

👮🏻 the building can get quite confusing with different wings but the security guards there are all so nice and helpful to guide you around

PS: This was recorded on Thu, 15 Oct, I think the view is slightly better now 🥲

A world of etiquette, presence and the finer details of how we conduct ourselves.

This is The Art of Protocol by WM Heart.

Led by YM Dato’ Paduka Toh Puan Seri DiRaja Noor Aini, the programme brings together the knowledge, nuances and practical considerations of protocol in a private, small-group setting.

Held at Common Ground, 1 Mont Kiara, the programme explored the many dimensions of protocol - from its origins and significance to the principles of precedence, and the appropriate forms of address across royal, official, courtesy and hereditary settings.

But protocol is not simply about knowing the rules. It is also about how we present ourselves.

From formal and corporate attire to semi-formal and casual dressing, with an emphasis on modesty, participants explored the finer nuances of personal presentation, including the distinction between a suit, jacket and blazer. The programme also looked at Baju Sedondon, Baju Kebangsaan and traditional attire, and how what we wear communicates respect for the occasion, the setting and the people we meet.

At the table, protocol takes on another dimension. Table setting, cutlery and napkin etiquette, conversation, phone etiquette and those quiet, considered gestures that allow a meal to unfold with grace and ease. Christofle tableware added its own timeless elegance to the experience.

Yet beyond the details, The Art of Protocol is ultimately about awareness.
Knowing who, where, when and how and understanding what each occasion calls for.

Because true protocol is not about putting on a performance. It is about consideration and the confidence to conduct oneself with grace.

The Art of Protocol

Refining Conduct. Elevating Representation. Building Legacies.

It’s all in the details.

Here at Silk & Plum, we believe in setting an ambience, but equally in creating experiences with purpose and substance. From the fresh florals and thoughtful touches to meaningful conversations and activities that bring women together.

When I heard this advice, I was like “Ohh, makes sense… I’ve always hired and worked with nerdy backend people all this while…”

If your business is in the early stage, it’ll be better off to hire generalists.

I’m hosting a business discourse with @kingquah on 23rd Sept at @commonground.work Jaya One.

Love or money... which one are you choosing?🤔💭

It’s the ultimate debate, but here’s the truth: you shouldn’t actually have to choose between financial security and healthy relationships. Navigating both at the same time is where things get real.

Whether you’re trying to figure out how to talk finances with a partner, set money boundaries or build independent wealth without compromising your personal life, you don’t have to figure it out alone.

At Ringgit Real Talk Vol. 2, our panel of women experts (financial planner, psychologist, lawyer, and author) is coming together to unpack the real, unspoken side of money, love, and independence.

We’re answering your anonymous questions, sharing honest stories, and giving you actionable steps to take control of your financial future.

🎟 Grab your spot now! Link in bio to register.

Come curious, bring a girlfriend, and leave with the clarity you deserve. See you there! ♡
