The Daymaker. Considered seating designed for how you actually live outdoors. Comfort, unbound. 🦋

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

The Daymaker by @commontiger has been recognised in the 2026 Australian Good Design Awards @gooddesignaus, Australia’s longest-running international design awards, for excellence in design, innovation and impact.
This year’s Awards are presented under the theme Design that Leads, celebrating the critical role of design in navigating complexity, driving innovation and creating positive change.
From hundreds of sketches to a chair people actually want to be seen sitting in, we’re proud to see this one recognised with a gold award. A big shout-out to the team at @commontiger for their belief in the product, the process, and in us as their design partner.

Before there was a chair, there were countless questions.

These early sketches for the @commontiger Daymaker explored every appropriate archetype, high-back, low-slung, cantilevered, wrapped.

Different frames, fabrics and folding mechanisms.
We tested every sitting scenario we could imagine.

The feedback was clear: people wanted a chair that delivered real comfort without looking like it belonged next to a tent.

A chair you'd actually want to sit in, and be seen with.
