Thinking about selling before Thanksgiving? Put down the renovation wish list. 🍂

You may not need a new kitchen. You may need less clutter, better lighting, and a pricing strategy that makes buyers pay attention.

Here’s where I’d focus:
• Clear the excess. Help buyers see the space instead of your stuff.
• Brighten things up. Shorter days make lighting—and your showing schedule—matter.
• Handle the noticeable fixes. Peeling paint, a dripping faucet, or a sticking door can distract from an otherwise great home.
• Price with the current competition in mind. Buyers are comparing your home to what else they can buy today.

A major renovation deserves a conversation about cost, timing, and likely return before you commit.

The goal is to make your home easy to appreciate—and your asking price easy to understand.

Save this if a fall sale is on your radar.

Wondering whether to list now or wait? DM me “TIMING.” I’ll give you an honest take based on your home, your local competition, and where you’re headed next.

Buying or selling a home is one of the biggest decisions you’ll make, so you deserve someone in your corner who actually shows up.

That’s the job I take seriously: over-communicating so you’re never left wondering what’s happening, and telling you what you need to hear, not just what you want to hear.

I’m Melanie, a Greater Boston realtor helping people with their next chapter. If you’re thinking about making a move, I’d love to be your go-to person for it. Follow along for real estate tips and local recs.

One address. Two homes. Nothing else quite like it in Natick.
Built in 2024, 5 Travis Road offers more than 4,500 square feet of thoughtfully designed living space-from the gathering kitchen and light-filled interiors to the spa-inspired primary suite.
But the real surprise? A completely detached second building featuring a private gym downstairs and a finished retreat above-perfect for guests, a studio, or a home office.
Add a fenced backyard, patio, firepit, and convenient access to the Mass Pike, and this is a property you truly need to experience in person.

We’ve got listings coming soon, and we want you to hear about them first.

We have properties on the way in:
Newton
Cambridge
Waltham
South Boston
the North End
Needham.

These haven’t hit the market yet, and we’re looking to connect directly with agents who have buyers ready, or with buyers who’d love the chance to see a home before it goes public.

If you’re working with a client eyeing any of these towns, or you’re house hunting yourself and want first access, send us a message. Let’s talk before these go live.

I’m the Boston educator for The How to Buy a House Class, the #1 free home-buying class in the U.S. 🏡

Now, we’re taking classes to the Corporate world! If you’re part of a company headquartered in the Greater Boston area (city or burbs) that’s looking for a FREE way to give back to your employees….this is where I come in. This free class breaks down the entire process, no pressure, no sales pitch, just real answers about buying a home in the Boston real estate market. We’ll bring lunch for a lunch & learn, or some snacks for a happy hour style class - you just get to listen, learn, and leave with actual knowledge about what this process is and where to start.

Own a business in the Greater Boston area? Work for an incredible business looking to give back to its employees? I’m looking for local spots to host upcoming classes.

Buyer or business, send me a message and let’s get you connected.

It’s extra special when clients loved their Newton home for over 3 decades and you help them close that chapter, only to begin a new one with joy and excitement. Next stop is to the city with water views!

We show up together.

Behind every “sold” sign, every open house, every showing, there’s a mother-daughter team standing side by side. That’s not a tagline, it’s just how we work.

We’ve walked through more homes than we can count. Some empty and full of potential. Some lived-in and full of someone else’s memories. Every hallway, every room, every “this is the one” moment, we’ve been there for it together.

This isn’t just a business we run. It’s family, and we treat our clients the way we treat each other: consistently, honestly, and with a lot of heart.

We push each other to be better. When one of us is running on empty after a long week of showings, the other steps in. When one of us has a big win, we celebrate it like it’s ours, because it is. That’s what happens when two people share the same drive and the same “we’ll figure it out” mindset.

We share the wins and the hard days both. Client stories over coffee. Marketing ideas brainstormed in the car between showings. Reminders, when we need them, of why we do this: helping people find home.

Two generations of women in this business, motivated by the same thing. Showing up for our clients, and for each other, every day, in the city we love.
