A little whizz around my Open Garden Studio & home from Sunday!

With rain forecast, there was lots of last-minute jigging around to get everything under cover — from the garden, which on Saturday I had used as an outdoor gallery.

The rain did mean fewer visitors, but amazingly I actually made more sales! So despite the weather, it turned out to be a really lovely and successful day.

A big thank you to everyone who came along, had a chat, looked my work or bought something — it was so lovely to see you.

The calm before the doors opened…

A little look around our venue just before the first visitors arrived for this year’s Wimbledon Art Trail.

Opening your studio to the public is always a slightly strange and wonderful experience. After all the tidying, hanging, rearranging (and a fair amount of garden and house sorting too!), suddenly people start walking through the door and the weekend takes on a life of its own.

Over the two days Slavica, from Slavica Designs & I welcomed around 65 visitors– some familiar faces, lots of neighbours and friends, and plenty of people discovering my work for the first time on the Art Trail.

One of the things I loved discovering was just how local the weekend really is. Of the visitors who told us how they’d heard about us, more than half came through friends, neighbours or word of mouth.

There’s something rather special about people making the effort to visit artists in the places where we actually create our work – seeing the jewellery & textiles in person, having conversations and discovering what’s happening creatively on their doorstep.

For me, that’s also what makes the Wimbledon Art Trail so worthwhile. As an artist who normally works alone, being part of something bigger and connecting with other local artists and our community is incredibly valuable.

Thank you to everyone who came through our garden gate, stopped for a chat, looked at the work and supported our local creative community.

And a huge thank you to Katie and Katherine for all the work that goes into bringing the Wimbledon Art Trail together.

Until the next one.

From sculpture and ceramics, to oil, acrylic and watercolour, to pencil, photography and glass; the artwork on display at the Wimbledon Art Trail organised by @commonworksgallery covered all mediums and was truly inspiring. Here are a few snaps from our visit to @arthousewimbledon on the trail, where we spoke to the artists about their brilliant creations. We’re looking forward to seeing other posts from this weekend’s trail.

Over the past three weeks, I’ve had the pleasure of helping @commonworksgallery with social media for the Wimbledon Art Trail 2026! 🎨

It’s been such an incredible experience, and one I’ll always be grateful for. I’ve learnt so much, met so many wonderful people, and had the opportunity to experience art from both in front of the camera and behind the scenes.

It’s been a real privilege to see the creativity, community and hard work that goes into bringing something like the Wimbledon Art Trail to life.

Nothing brings people together quite like art! ❤️

A big thank you to @commonworksgallery, @ariettaspinou and @irinispinou_textileart for sharing the space with me, and to everyone who popped by. And, of course, my family for all their support.
