A weekend I’ll always be so grateful we took 🤍

With baby on the way, life has felt so full lately, exciting, emotional, busy, and changing so quickly. Getting away with Matt for a few days to slow down, reconnect and just be together before we step into this next chapter felt more special than I can really put into words.

Pregnancy note: The Hydropath and Healing Caves are not recommended during pregnancy. Although you’ll see a few clips of me inside, I only walked through briefly for a few minutes to showcase the space, tested a few features, and got out immediately. I did not complete the Hydropath experience and would not recommend doing so while pregnant. 🤍

@kingfisherresort was such a beautiful place for this little getaway. The whole weekend was exactly what I imagined for my baby moon, it felt truly peaceful and romantic!

And after experiencing it ourselves, it makes complete sense that Kingfisher was just named the #4 resort in Canada in Condé Nast Traveler’s 2026 Readers’ Choice Awards.

Feeling very lucky we got this time together before becoming a family of three 🤍

One of our favourite little fish to find! The spiny lumpsucker, basically the Pokémon of the underwater world.

Tiny, colourful and almost too strange to be real. These little guys use a modified pelvic fin like a suction cup to stick themselves to rocks, kelp and eelgrass, even when the water gets rough. Definitely one of the coolest characters in our local waters.

Another amazing day here on Vancouver Island, BC. We met some kind campers who shared lots of knowledge of the area. Then we headed to Goose Spit Park in Comox to catch a glimpse of what little remains of the Comox Glacier. Wana learn more about this glacier?
