No fish photos, out of respect for the trout, temperatures are still high and water levels are low. Pop the hook and let them swim.

We are just a little more than 3 weeks away from the Third Annual Tightlined Slam!

Albies and Bonito are out east, with rumors of fish seen and even caught locally, stripers and blues have hung all summer and Spanish mackerel are around in targetable numbers.

Don't miss out on an opportunity to enjoy a weekend during the peak fall run with a great group of anglers supporting conservation, responsible fishery management and the @saltwaterguidesassociation.

We have some really awesome stuff lined up for everyone who fishes from our valued sponsors. (Many tagged here)

Sign up at the link in my bio today or dm me with any questions!

Hope to see you in a few weeks!

Had some company this morning, mergansers are such an awesome species. Also took the new digs out for a test drive. What a rod @sageflyfish, the payloads a beast, can’t wait for cold weather monsters.

Peak tide is a great time to catch larger stripers. The strength of the current enables these strong swimming predators to out maneuver bait fish. Bait fish are at disadvantage due to their inability to swim efficiently in the current. One of my favorite tides is the rising tide just before the peak of the incoming. During this tide, especially in larger river mouths, migratory oceanic striped bass can quickly enter the river and ambush straggling bait fish that are taking their time venturing back to their protective lies. Here is @patfish88 showing us how it’s done. Great fish, great time in the water. @compleat_angler_ct @thesaltystache @theanglerslens. #stripers #striperfishing #striperbass #stripermigration #stripersonthefly #striperseason #stripedbassonthefly #longislandsound #saltwaterfishing #saltwaterflyfishing #saltlife #flyfishing #flyfishinglife
