I’ve been trying to put into words how much summer training project changed my life, and I have yet to come up with anything that can fully encapsulate my experience.
This semester was a very very difficult and trying time in my life, and while I was hopeful to go to project I wasn’t sure that was something the Lord had planned for me right now. I learned very heavily to rely on God and know that there was nothing I could possibly do to change or morph what He has in store for me. After a lot of prayers and waiting for all sorts of answers, doors continued to be opened wide for me in making project a possibility. The last ā€œYesā€ I received was committing on the last possible day, not starting support raising until 8 days before I left, and almost being fully funded in less than a week. That happening was probably the biggest ā€œI have you right where you need to beā€ I’ve ever experienced in my life.
While in South Carolina, I really truly experienced the Lord’s love He has for each and every one of His children, and in learning that I have grown in so many ways I didn’t expect. This summer, I learned about the plethora of ways God makes and keeps His promises. Spending our Friday’s learning how to share the gospel with people was so lovely. I always felt like the Gospel was something you had to learn over time, but it’s actually a gift that is so simple, and sometimes hard to fathom, and easily be explainable to anybody willing to listen in a short sit down conversation.
I was also blessed with such an amazing group of friends that I did not know I needed, and showed up when I least expected it. My roommates and our group at Walmart couldn’t have been any better. We made so many memories together that I will be cherishing and laughing about for a lifetime.
Thank you to everybody that financially funded me and prayerfully protected me while being away from home. Thank you STP for such a fruitful community! Not a goodbye but a see you soon!

ā€œAnd if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s offspring, heirs according to promise.ā€ Galatians 3:29
ā€œJesus replied, ā€œYou don’t understand now what I am doing, but someday you will.ā€ā€ John 13:7

ā€œMay the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.ā€

Summer Training Project #2, had to spin the block. There’s a big chunk of my heart in South Carolina and there always will be. From the people I’ve met, to the lessons I’ve learned, I have seen more and more of God and his faithfulness as the weeks fly by. Thank you to all who made this trip such a blast, I love you all.

Galatians 2:20 - ā€œI have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.ā€

Grateful for the opportunity to have had spent a whole summer in Garden City Beach. Truly has been a joy to grow in evangelism, community, and walk with Jesus.

By God’s grace, I’ve never known a day that I didn’t know who Jesus was. I’ve been blessed yet blinded that this isn’t the case for the vast majority until college & Campus Outreach. While all my life I had heard the gospel, it didn’t feel personal until last summer when I realized my religion was just that, not a relationship with the Father.
This summer, I heard the gospel in 3 simple words and keep reflecting on them: God saves sinners. It’s as simple as that, we don’t deserve this free gift from the creator of the universe, we do nothing but receive it - like what!? And it’s not over after, we still sin & fight our flesh, but praise God we can ask for forgiveness and try to be more like him each day!
If you’ve never heard the gospel, I pray this reaches you. Jesus already loves youšŸ’›

Hello! This summer, I was blessed with the opportunity to work full-time #wallyworld and grow in my faith for 8 weeks in South Carolina!!! While it was one of the most beautiful summers of my life, it presented a lot of challenges and discomfort. For much of it, I felt far away from home and the people that feel like home to me. I reflected on my life and had nostalgia for the past and what has been lost. As I grow and become who God created me to be, the things that I love so dearly are all changing and dwindling. Childhood doesn’t last forever, college doesn’t last forever, and this summer with Campus Outreach is coming to an end! I realized both that I don’t fully belong anywhere on Earth, and that everything here is temporary, but that the LORD lasts forever!! I have eternal belonging and purpose in Him. Jesus is worth more than any time passed or anything lost because we have everything to gain in Him: salvation, everlasting peace, joy, and love. He really sustained my life this summer while I felt overwhelmed by the waves, and He gifted me with these friendships!!!! How sweet is it that He can carry me when I’m afraid! Here are some sweet verses that helped make my heart bolder this summer.

ā€œI lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip— he who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord watches over you— the Lord is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.ā€
