A tight physical encounter against Waldon Athletic 3rds provided the Ks for their first home win of the season. The Ks ran out 2-1 winners today with goals from Jack Wonnacott and Connaire Sheridan. The Ks started the game quickly going 1-0 in front after an assist from Goalkeeper Mattie Stainton and tidy finish from Jack Wonnacott. Waldon quickly responded with a free kick before half time. From that point onwards it was a hard fought battle between the two teams with a few boiling points throughout the game. The Ks eventually broke the deadlock when Jack Wonnacott set Connaire Sheridan to score low underneath the keeper. Everyone was absolutely brilliant today and gave absolutely everything.
