SO thrilled to announce that our @americanfilminstitute thesis film will be playing @viffest on Oct. 4th and 5th in the Short Forum section. It feels like such a great fit and I’m genuinely grateful to be playing a fest with filmmakers who I DEEPLY respect and admire. Excited to attend, meet folks, and watch movies!

BIG s/o to everyone on the crew, but especially the cast of the film.

@con_conn is so unbelievably talented and I can’t wait to work with her again, truly cannot believe she isn’t a superstar yet.

@justine.estradaa gave such a complicated performance and I truly appreciate her tenacity and willingness to try things that were so challenging. She killed!

Not only is @elenarojasfilm the sweetest person, but I was horrified watching her audition. So, ya girl’s got range! It was immediately clear she was the one for the role.

I can’t thank @billy_minshall and @carlywn for being SO kind and generous. So excited to work with all these talented folks again.

s/o to the core team, the day ones, the ones who were excited to make this kooky idea when I pitched it. True queens.

Producer: @_sylviass_ (amazingly supportive, iconic queen! Get yourself a Sylvia and you’ll be set!)

Director and Screenwriter: 👋🏼

DP: @quinnthomashow (truly such a delight, friend, your penchant for playing with the image made it what it is!)

Editor: @syd.fix (what can I say Sydney is my dog, is it even a movie I directed w/o her)

Production Designer: @upload880 (Reena made exactly what she envisioned in design come to life, it was so impressive to see!)

So much more crew, family, and friends to thank, really couldn’t have done it without y’all. ✨🐀✨

In honor of my 23rd birthday yesterday, I wanted to share SHADOW DANCING, a romantic short film that I poured my heart and soul into over the last few months, & is available at the link in my bio💖 password: cassia

SHADOW DANCING tells the story of an immortal woman who falls in love with reincarnated versions of the same woman throughout time, and who must learn that love is always worth the risk.

Cassia & Stevie/Her/Nina/Juniper came at a vulnerable time in my life. At first, I was scared of them, intimidated by the ideas these characters and this story would have me confront. But ultimately, this film & this production reminded me that love will surround you as you allow it to enter your heart. From writing our little brainchild with @halle.m.schaffer , to developing and producing the film with @iconicizzy @alexiahoward__, and being surrounded & supported by so many dear friends & family on this production, I am so grateful for everyone’s beautiful hard work & dedication to making Cassia’s story come to life. I love you all.
