✨Starcrash Spotlight✨ on: VICE REINE - Vice Reine (pronounced “vice rain”) is a San Francisco synthpop band which could be described as Dystopian Disco Punk, Future Fantasy Funk, and ORBCORE. They are influenced by dystopian sci-fi, comics, swords & sorcery fantasy, 80s anime, and of course, the eternal power of the ORB. Musically, Vice Reine meld synthpop, electroclash, New Wave, dance punk and nu-disco into a distinct yet ever-changing sound wrapped in an over-the-top visual aesthetic. Frontwoman Remi X. DeVice, producer/synth player/bassist DJ EJ, & synth player CJ DeMarx form Vice Reine out of their friendship and musical fandom in order to explore new realms and to access new ways of seeing/being. “We don't want to give people more of what they've already seen. We want to take our audiences - and ourselves - to new places, and give them a spectacle they can be a part of,” says Remi X. The trio found one another and formed, first and foremost, as lifelong music nerds who bonded over their shared passion. Vice Reine’s live show is a mind-bending journey through genres, emotions, concepts & theatrics, all rooted in glittering techno-meets-new wave glam-funk that has alternately confounded, surprised and delighted Bay Area concert-goers since their debut in 2013. Buy/listen to Vice Reine’s latest EP “Blue Rider” on their website, vicereinemusic.com 💙💜💙
