501c(3) Conch Shell Productions Inc presents Conch Shell Internationall Film Fest 🎬 Celebrating Caribbean Diaspora & Caribbean Filmmaking 🎞

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

The Douen had its premiere in NY earlier this month. What an experience to share this film with other Caribbean filmmakers. We had such an incredible time at @conchshelliff to share this film with a fantastic audience. 47 FILMS. 14 COUNTRIES. THREE DAYS CELEBRATING CARIBBEAN & DIASPORA STORYTELLING.
OUR CULTURE LIVES IN OUR STORIES.

The 2026 Conch Shell International Film Fest (CSIFF26) takes place October 9–11, 2026, bringing filmmakers, audiences, and industry professionals together for three days celebrating 47 films by Caribbean and Caribbean diaspora filmmakers.
CSIFF26 is presented by Conch Shell Productions, Inc. (CSP), a Queens-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit arts organization dedicated to amplifying the work of Caribbean and Caribbean diaspora artists and creating opportunities for their stories to be seen, heard, and celebrated.
CSIFF is more than a place to watch films. It’s a place to discover new voices, meet the artists behind the work, exchange ideas, build relationships, and celebrate the stories that connect us. Special thanks to our cast and crew for bringing this film to life. We are excited to continue showing this film to the world!

Jamaican filmmaker Jamar Cleary’s award-winning documentary Raizal: The Jamaican Connection has copped another international honour, winning Best Documentary at the Conch Shell International Film Festival in New York, marking its fourth award.

The nearly 20-minute film explores the Jamaican roots of the Raizal people, an Afro-Caribbean community on Colombia’s San Andrés island, shedding light on a largely unknown historical connection.

“I am happy that the Diaspora’s eyes are open to relatives in Latin America of Jamaican descent, who oftentimes get overlooked,” Cleary said.

The film has previously earned awards at festivals in New York, Jamaica and Mexico. Cleary is also preparing a follow-up documentary exploring Jamaican descendants in Costa Rica’s Limón province.
